I mean Missy very much deserves her induction too. She had a crazy amount of influence on hip-hop & R&B music, not only with her own musical career but also as a writer/producer for other very relevant acts, most notably for Aaliyah.

Mariah is just starting to get the respect she deserves. Songwriters Hall of Fame, NRJ Icon, Grio Lifetime Achievement, Grammy Global Icon all in the last couple of years. Sad that it took this long, but I’m glad it’s happening while she’s still alive to enjoy it.
