ImsoLOUD Posted April 9 Share Posted April 9 (edited) She already clarified that she had music prepared for 2019. By the time the pandemic started, her aspirations changed and she started a family. As someone that was releasing an album every year from 2005-2012 and then 2016, I think it is perfectly fine for her to take her time. If anything, ANTi was probably a lesson for her as far as the benefits of taking her time/her own capabilities to put together a project versus rushing it. People also forget that ANTi was severely underrated and won zero Grammy's despite people on this very site agreeing that it is a better album than some that have won AOTY. Industry politics played a huge part in how we got here, although she'll never say it publicly. She's too "cool" to do that. Regardless, I agree that she should have been more vocal regarding her progress with the album or the lack thereof. At this point she should scrap whatever "R9" was supposed to be, as that term alone has become a bit traumatic for us that are in the Navy, and start focusing on "R10". That'd be iconic IMO.
