2.5 weeks!! I was at a restaurant yesterday and finally saw the trailer on TV!! 

 

No other movie(s) get me as excited as Scream! 

 

How can we make the Ghostface in heels emoji a permanent fixture on ATRL?

I don’t like to **** on Melissa’s acting to be honest. She didn’t have a lot to work with. Had it gone the original rumoured way with samara playing Sam, I feel like this conversation would be entirely different. Then we wouldn’t have Jenna ortega as Tara though and it’s about time we have someone who isn’t white being the lead in a horror movie without it being a huge marketing gimmick but there are much better actors out there who could have elevated the character.
 

Tatum isn’t really given much development in the first scream, but because of rose McGowans presence she is an iconic character. Same could be said for Kirby who is probably one of the most beloved horror movie characters in recent history when she didn’t really have a deep and meaningful character arc, but Hayden gave it her all. I feel like Melissa would’ve been better in the Amber role tbh and Mikey Madison pulverised the **** out of her boring and basic ass character so she could’ve been a great Sam despite not being a poc which I do feel is very important because like I said it’s about time that not every final girl was white and an innocent little angel.

I think she has the bureau scenes, the shrine

and then a chase cause one spot we saw her with a gun, looking scared and injured

Studios send specific sequences to be used in trailers, and purposefully leave out other sequences and scenes so there’s a chance Hayden has more screen time then the trailer let’s on. I have faith they wouldn’t just bring her back for a small barely supporting role, but we shall see for sure soon!

We can spam @ATRL Administration and report all of posts with the emoji to get theses heifers’ attention.  

I think we should wait until 1 week prior to films release? Timing is important.

I saw it and I liked it but honestly what was the point of even giving him a credit when he was in it for like 20 seconds. The movie overall is good tho and reminds me of 47 Metres Down.

There is no Scream without Sidney. No matter how many fads they attempt to bring into the situation. It will always revolve around, and end with her. She doesn't even have to be present and will still mean more than Weekday and the Newbie Gang. These children and their hipster mentality thinking they can move on from her story. That's not Scream. Make a new slasher series.

Why should they make a new franchise if the GP is obviously here for this one? They don't care Neve is gone, so why should Radio Silence bother bringing her back?

 

Ghostface is Scream, not Sidney.

Don’t get me wrong, loving the reinvigorated interest in the film and franchise ahead of VI’s release. Though I do feel like we’re talking in circles a bit. Which is totally fine, but I don’t think anyone is really going to change their mind concerning Neve/Sidney and the future of Scream. A lot of different takes in here and I think, for the most part, they are all valid. 

 

For me personally, I have faith in this creative team to pull off a great installment without Neve. Would obviously love to have her back in the next one (if they do continue) but I think it’s okay to explore different narratives and characters. The franchise has earned that right. After twenty five years and multiple great entries, I think creating some space for these newcomers is warranted. Let’s see how they pull it off in a couple weeks!!

While I am sad Neve is not going to be in the new movie, I am so tired of endless Scream 5 Sucks!!! commentary. I thought it was really well done and I welcome the new group of young characters. I also welcome Gale as an anchor to the new instalment.
