Bhabylon Posted March 11, 2023 Posted March 11, 2023 Also love that they didn’t waste time on any of the stupid Stab bs this time around that really dragged the other movies down
slik Posted March 11, 2023 Posted March 11, 2023 I liked it a lot I'm actually glad Sidney wasn't in this one, the story didn't have to be anchored to her and we got know the new main cast better.

That's why Halloween got stale because it was always about Laurie Strode

The cool thing about Scream is the fact Ghostface is always a different person with different motives, which keeps things fresh. That's also the reason why I would hate if they brought someone like Stu or Jill back. For a brief moment during Scream 6 I really thought they were bringing Stu back and I was so pissed, thank goodness they didn't do that and I hope they stay away from that idea for the next one.

That idea is as bad as Michael Myers having an idea of swapping places with a paramedic in Halloween Resurrection.
Freakshowvato Posted March 11, 2023 Posted March 11, 2023 This will be the first Scream movie I watch. Should I know of anything or can I go in cold turkey

Martyr Of Fame Posted March 11, 2023 Posted March 11, 2023 They’re collecting CinemaScore in Vegas at AMC Town Square right now. I stuck around and I heard so many As

ALA Posted March 11, 2023 Posted March 11, 2023 Best sequel of the franchise. The actress who played Sam was much better here than the last oneI think the whole her seeing Billy is suuuuper cheesy but I guess nnn So cool that Kirby became a staple character of the franchise. Queen
BNF91 Posted March 11, 2023 Posted March 11, 2023 (edited) Solid Friday. $18.5-19M opening day. Should be a $41-43M weekend. Edited March 11, 2023 by BNF91
MadonnasBoyfriend Posted March 11, 2023 Posted March 11, 2023 (edited) Just got back and saw it on 4dx. Fun enough. Liked kirbys scenes and her wig is cute. Wouldn't watch it again. Not brilliant or anything but was dare I say mid. The chairography really added to the kills and you really physically feel what the characters feel except the stabbing lol but you do feel the stab in a way the 4dx is incredibly submersize and feel everyone else will miss out on that by just watching it regular. it was very submersize. And omg I'm so sick of hearing about Billy loomis. He's been dead since 1996 who cares what he has to say. The reveals are anti climatatic imo Gonna see 65 tomorrow 😎 Edited March 11, 2023 by MadonnasBoyfriend
Martyr Of Fame Posted March 11, 2023 Posted March 11, 2023 That was quick. Scream 6 gets a B+ CinemaScore. Was hoping it would break the A ceiling but it matches Scream 2’s and 2022’s series best.
Rocket Posted March 11, 2023 Posted March 11, 2023 Just got back from seeing it. The bodega, the ladder scene, Gale's apartment, the subway. So many great moments. But the way my eyes rolled into the back of my head when Anika was practically sliced and diced up the middle but still managed to climb out the window and halfway across the ladder before she was shook to her death. The laughter that erupted in the cinema when Gale puts GF on hold though. a mess. a kii. a cackle.

Mr.Link Posted March 11, 2023 Posted March 11, 2023 It was really good and it felt like a breath of fresh air that it didn’t follow the literal storyline of the predecesors Some characters being sliced in half in one scene and smiling and running 20min later though

TheOnlyOne Posted March 11, 2023 Posted March 11, 2023 Sam won so hard The power to come into a franchise 5 movies in and become Mother with the hottest man and best storyline just like that

Still, another win for the franchise.
bad guy Posted March 11, 2023 Posted March 11, 2023 The best sequel hands down. The way it pays homage to 2 but is also completely original The opening The third act If this doesn’t make more than 5 I’m rioting.
