Where? Cuz if it's true that would be a collapse. :jonny5:

Yeah it was only one random stan saying this and likely trolling as the other user said but that would be crazy

If her team submits Illusion instead of Houdini for Pop Dance Recording, they'd be extremely stupid because that's the only category she has a chance in….

I just listened to the extended Anything for Love... that version should have been on the actual album wtf :toofunny3:

These Walls is finally clicking with me, it's such a catchy song :jamming:

The silence after 'when we said forever' and bringing the music back with the 'ooh' feels like being saved from drowning or something like that, I don't know how to explain it :dies:

Yesss this was a MOMENT and one of the few production gems on the album, though it doesn't help much when there's samey production on all choruses/no adlibs further down the very same track, and in fact on the whole album :deadbanana2:

Spoiler

Tbh it's been interesting to find out so many of the users who were camped in here to remind us what a flop Dua is have turned out to be Katy stans. :bibliahh:

OT: having a moment with Whatcha Doing.

I saw the LP marked CLEARANCE at Target this morning. Prices slashed to $19. I thought about it for a second but chuckled and moved on instead.

Why am i not surprised? :ahh:

I feel like many Katy stans have always been deeply insecure about Dua because they saw her as someone who was essentially "replacing" Katy. The fact that Dua is actually way more talented and has a better discography overall probably didn't help either :coffee2:

I feel they will submit Pop solo Houdini so they could sumbit Illusion at Pop Dance, increase her chances to get more noms this year

Anyway..... Dua flop era continues

Beyonce, Ariana & Taylor released albums this year.... intersting :gaycat5:

I remember certain user who was perched on this thread trying to drag Dua each time, and now that same user is trying to drag Dua again... in a Katy thread??? The obsession is getting more obsessive for those ODHs I fear :dies:

Spoiler

Edit: and I wasn't even talking about the user who just disliked this lmao, but as they say in my rancho, si te queda el saco, póntelo. It's getting bad for those ODHs I fear :suburban:

At this point, it's obvious they're going to do it. Houdini isn't Dance enough to make the cut in that category, it's similar to what happened with DTN last year.

Illusion is absolutely solid for that category

Spoiler

Honestly, I'm not surprised. For a few years, I've seen some KatyCats being insecure about Dua since the comparisons calling her "Katy's daughter". They celebrate her flops or when she doesn't achieve certain things.

always saying shady things like "Ugh, Katy just needs Dua's payola" or "Katy just needs Dua's playlisting and being #1 on TTHs" or bllsht like that.

well, Houdini is her best single/song/video to date. I'm still hooked on this song like it was out this week.

this has surpassed be the one imo and it's closing the gap fast with DSN to be my most played song by dua

iconic. this song deserved EVERYTHING.

Houdini is way more dancey than Von Dutch, Yes And, 360 and Illusion, instead of more nominations they should be pushing for a grammy….

Houdini is very dance. They should push that honestly.

What :psyduck: do y'all know what dance is? It's a legit genre. The dance category isn't for 'dancey' songs lmao

Especially Charli's album is full on dance/house/club, Houdini is nothing of the sort

Illusion would fit the bill of 'dance pop' more but I think they could sneak in Houdini if they tried, however I think there's no way of her winning a Grammy this era

I mean even Billboard recognises Houdini as a Dance song, it's a dance psychedelic track which absolutely qualifies for POP DANCE in my opinion, agree to disagree ig….

Right?! They should push Houdini in all possible categories. The production is superb and her vocals are fire. I think it has a good chance of winning something. Houdini is THAT *****.
