Dua Lipa - 'Radical Optimism'

Recommended Posts

Posted

Singles:

1. Houdini

2. Training Season

3. Illusion

4. These Labias

5. Watcha Doing f/ Doja Cat (or anyone really)

6. A song from the deluxe edition

Perfect era imo and if one of those next three singles sticks it could be enough to help the record get to at least 1.5M SPS in the US.

FN is at 4.5M SPS and so RO will not come close but it just eventually getting to a solid 1.5M would be great!

DL4 needs to be an undeniable consistent smasha tho

I really love RO. It's a shame reading that it's not connecting with a lot of you.

I'm hoping the correct songs are chosen for the expanded edition.

I'm also team These Walls for next. My only concern is how much longer will it last on the TTH and major playlists on Spotify after this week. There has been focus tracks that get put on TTH that eventually becomes a single but because of how long it has been on these playlists, they never really get put back in. That better not happen with These Walls.

Whatcha Doing can be the single afterwards with a remix (Doja, The Weeknd, Bruno Mars, and Kendrick all sound like great options) and then if we must have one more, I'll let Dua make Happy For You the final single. It'd be a cute way to close out the era imo.

I also think unless the era ends up getting revived after These Walls, that she shouldn't do any re-releases tbh. Just move on to the next era. Hopefully by then, Dua ends up falling out with her dad so she has a better management again. :gaycat1:

I think she lost a LOT of credibility on TTH as evident by her having Z lister placements on her release week

With Illusion and TS being #1 instantly and tanking so hard just in the last 3 months, and Houdini also flopping on there in recent memory, I can't see them debuting her at a top placement in the next few months unless the song is successful enough before to actually justify it :suburban:

Well…at least her flopping shows that she's not using auto play like some of the fraudulence we've seen from certain artists!

Just got my lyric notebook. Love it, though wish it had a few more outtakes (it includes photoshoot pics + instagram pics of the era). Only three outtakes we haven't seen before. Here's my fave of the new ones: spacer.png

We are not :chick1:

HTH is one of her best vocal performances, she sounds so sultry on the pre-chorus. Meanwhile the "how long" on FF is the worst she has ever sounded I fear.

My deluxe split vinyl delivered. Almost perfectly lined up with side A. Really well done design and packaging.

Crazy that she could've had the album ready to drop in 2022 or earlier last year.

Like a certain artist that recently released a song named after a caffeinated drink aka a Walmart version of Say So

:ryan3:

Dua said NO to autoplay fraudulence :clap3:

This has been on repeat so much for me. Definitely no FN still but it's nice to have some mainstream casual pop that isn't sad music or Beyoncé's country (tho I love Ariana, Taylor, and Beyoncé's albums)
