Dua Lipa - 'Radical Optimism'

I'm loving the album, guys  Its only problem is the lack of big hits that would carry it. It doesn't have Future Nostalgia's highest highs but also avoids career lowest lows (Good in bed, Boys will be boys).

These Walls was my immediate favorite (been playing on repeat since Friday). She should promote the hell out of it and see if it clicks.

Overall it's a nice summery/chill record that doesn't deserve the hate it's receiving. Why she went with that psychedelic/rave narrative to promote it will always be a mystery to me though. She set herself up by hyping it to sound radically different than FN and eventually releasing another dance pop record. And since it pales in comparison to the FN due to lack of smash hits, people see it as regression.

I can't recall the last time a major pop artist handled their era so messily. From the rollout, to aesthetics… She should've just titled it „Summer Paradise" and describe as a chill, getaway record before something bigger. Ugh.

I was actually thinking this too dndndjd Playing up to the vacation jokes and selling it as a vacation album and being cheeky about it would have been funny.

She would have to switch around the singles though because Houdini doesn't really scream beach.

She honestly deserves the flopping entirely for making "Anything For Love" this short. Like it's a career highlight. What was she thinking? :rogue:

This maybe it will have an extended version like the singles?

I fear Happy For You does absolutely nothing for me, someone said it's 'girl who is going to be alright' coded and that's exactly what it is :deadbanana:

It sounds like a bland soundtrack song to me

She really wanted to give us that Eurovision 2nd runner up track

No tea as much as we've collectively clowned on her numbers i don't think Dua is gonna suffer much in the long haul. Her next tour will sell regardless. She's a good performer and has soooo many massive hits to her name that the ticket is worth it off that alone.

Also no tea the people I see dragging are Smilers and that woman hasn't given her fans a tour in a decade because she cannot sustain a live singing voice and acts like it's a more personal reason. Dua is a new professional performer regardless of the quality and reception of her work and will continue to get better.

The album is #1 on the German iTunes Charts.

Her singles are in the Top 100 of the iTunes Charts.

How is it doing in other countries? And how can we see the streaming counts?

She should've announced the tour right after SNL, she's on top of her game performer wise :foxaylove3:
