Kintsugi Posted April 20 Posted April 20 been listening to this recently and I kind of take back my initial comment about the album? I still stand by what I said of her catfishing everyone into believing this is some sort of clubby rave non-stop bops record because it's not, but it's actually pretty cute for what it is (sans a few songs) I think my main problem was that as she once was my fav artist, separating the music from the insufferable persona she's adopted in the past year was quite hard it's a nice pop album with disposable bops, but seeing her treat it like some sort of never-done-before opus definitely set my expectations way too high 1 4
Kintsugi Posted April 20 Posted April 20 also the tracklist makes absolutely no sense, 360 is her worst opener simply by the fact it sounds nothing like an opener

Living Legend Posted April 20 Posted April 20 I'm actually really excited about this album but people bringing up her persona... I honestly thought the whole "I'm not putting myself on the cover because women don't need to put their bodies on album covers" is weird when the 360 vinyl is full of classic female pop photography. Sometimes I feel like she wants to be super edgy when she's actually not. I had the same feeling with Crush. I expected a big **** you to the label, something really dark and full of bangers and bops and yet I thought the whole record was such a letdown after the Good Ones single.

Von Dutch would be a fantastic opener tbh, 360 isn't bad lemme get that out the way, it's just a cute middle of the album bop, lowkey reminiscent of the XCX World album tracks speaking of, the video she shot recently was indeed for that song, she namedrops Gabriette (whoever that is) in the second verse 1

Now she bakes and I guess models too what do you think will be the song that slays fans the most upon album release first listen, ie: the Lightning of the album.
flower moon Posted April 21 Posted April 21 been listening to spring breakers and make you mine a lot lately. lowkey nervous i'll like the direction of those songs more than the album

SlimyGhoul Posted April 23 Posted April 23 (edited) Y'all, why is no one talking about this? I feel like I have seen nothing about this online. Quote "Firstly, the fans don't know it yet--I guess once they read this interview, they will--I am releasing a lot of my demos that won't make it to my album and playing them at my shows, at my DJ sets." ????? Are we getting extra stuff like Spring Breakers? @Kintsugi @RideOrDie Do y'all know anything about this? Edited April 23 by SlimyGhoul
