alestevens Posted February 5 Posted February 5 If anything her showing up and likely announcing stuff at these award shows is the only reason their relevance stopped the downward spiral they have been on for years 1

Popboi. Posted February 5 Posted February 5 Now this is just imagining an issue out of nothing just to be mad at her. 1

Maroonx Posted February 5 Posted February 5 Sure Space Cowboy, if that helps you sleep sound at night and if it helps you get more creative with your threads, let's call it selfish. x now you can go rest easy x
HardBambi Posted February 5 Posted February 5 I think it’s the nicest thing an artist can say in their speech besides the regular thanks, a present to the world and fans, a new album is coming. As big as she is now this album will demolish the charts
MonsterNavy Posted February 5 Posted February 5 she's always been a stunt queen and honestly I love it yall mad your faves couldnt do this or if they did no one curr 2
Death & Decay Posted February 5 Posted February 5 I’m just curious when she would have announced it if she hadn’t won. Did she know she was winning beforehand?
nadiamendell Posted February 5 Posted February 5 No, she's selfish for releasing anything at all this year... Like please girl, give us all a break! Let some other new stars take the spotlight for a little while. She's serving boomer politician that won't let anyone else rise.

madollaqueen Posted February 5 Posted February 5 (edited) Yeah. She's totally spoiled because the voters she bought for the voting seats of old white grandpas kept handing in her awards. And now she thinks the grammys are her iPhone instagram and she owns it as her official fan website. Edited February 5 by madollaqueen

SZA literally exploded a month after Midnights came out and blocked Taylor for nearly 10 weeks. 2

Like she couldn’t have waited at least until tomorrow? Now the press it’s only going to talk about her and her new album. It’s like she doesn’t want anyone else to be a topic of conversation. It feels egoistic. Thoughs?
Zefierce Posted February 10 Posted February 10 No People WISH their fav could win AOTY and announce a new album in front of millions. This is all coming from a place of bitterness and jealously. 1 1
SuperCiC1 Posted February 10 Posted February 10 If she knew beforehand that she was going to win AOTY, then yes I would consider that toxically egotistical. If not, just benign narcissism.
aesthetic bih Posted February 10 Posted February 10 It kinda felt that way tbh. The Grammy's night is not just Taylor's and considering Taylor's power, there's a possibility that her album announcement may overshadow the award ceremony and take away a lot of the attention from the winners of the show She should've kept it graceful and announced it on her social media, anyway it would've achieved almost the same level of attention and hype if she announced it that way
Escape Posted February 10 Posted February 10 Pretty sure other girls have announced their albums on award shows so I'm not sure what exactly is the problem here.

She said she would have announced in Tokyo night 1 if she didn't win a Grammy. Glad she didn't have to do that because announcing a new album in front of the calmest audience of the entire tour would be disappointing.
