Nothing to see here, just the IDF casually threatening to demolish one of the holiest sites in all of Islam. Not really a big deal to Joe Biden, who'd probably like nothing more.

Israeli settler leader Daniella Weiss, has already been allowed into Gaza to survey potential settlement sites, while most aid trucks still can't get in. In the 1940s, her parents were members of Lehi, a Zionist terrorist organization.

She is an advocate of a Greater Israel from the Euphrates to the Nile.

She has previously talked about how Palestinians will 'disappear' from Gaza.

Enough with the extremists, here is Benny Gantz, who is often described as a moderate alternative to Netanyahu. He is calling for more bombing of civilian infrastructure in Lebanon.

Same Israelis who've been protesting to jail him for 7 years now? Doubt it.

Oh please. This is preposterous and you know it. The one thing that Israelis hate more than Palestinians existing is the idea of any single one of them facing international accountability for their war crimes. Same goes for America. Both countries believe they are above international law and that they have sole jurisdiction over their own wrongdoing. That's why you have American officials always spouting off about how we need to let Israelis investigate themselves and honor the results of their internal investigations when they inevitably find neither fault nor wrongdoing.

And just like how Americans just voted to protect Trump from legal accountability, Netanyahu will be similarly protected by the Israeli people as well. Both are evil men who have each directly or indirectly killed millions of people, but neither will ever see the inside of a jail cell for their crimes against humanity.

I don't disagree with your greater point, I just think you paint in very broad brushes that just dehumanizes entire populations, which only perpetuates cycles of conflict.. At the end of the day, civilians are the ones to suffer and face the most consequences and should not be made out to be an enemy. It's the kind of nationalistic thinking that will just lead you down the same path down the line.

There's intense corruption but at the end of the day normal people just want to peacefully live out their days. I'm not saying extremists don't exist and sometimes tend to be the loudest voices. Obviously, political manipulation is real, but they don't define entire populations..

Cracks in democracy are showing up all around the world. It's bleak, but I do think the likes of bibi/trump will get their comeuppance someday. :rainbow:

Sometimes the Israeli media is more honest than the US media and UK media will ever be:

Now the Israeli government (only democracy in the Middle East!!!) has decided to boycott Haaretz.

But before we praise Haaretz too much, there are articles like the one referenced here.

For an archived version of the article:

Feel sad for the pets, but I can't imagine how many innocent pets (and their owners, many of them children) have been killed in Gaza.

Or are the palestinian pets khamas too?
