Major assassinations and attacks: Beirut, Iraq, and now Tehran in the same night. Reports of the attack on the Iraqi base attributed it to the U.S, but who really knows. Either way, it seems like it could've been a cover/distraction for what to come later, or maybe that base could've detected any Israeli warplanes on their way to Tehran and thus had to be "dealt with." OR it could've been some sort of assassination of a senior leader in the Iraqi Iran-aligned militias.

I still can't process all these things happening back to back and the ramifications they might have. Truly a night of "holy ****"s. You would think this would be a major escalation that leads to a full blown regional war, but if the past ten months taught me anything... it's to not expect that. All affected parties will "absorb" these blows by spouting empty rhetoric and threats, while conducting limited-scope, "symbolic" attacks to appease/as a front for certain audiences.

Another day in uncharted territory. Iran looks extremely weak.

you can't "fix" a society like this...

and we will never "coexist" with people like this

this is why it angers me when people try to focus/blame netanyahu as if the entire society isn't rotten, and filled with genocidal maniacs

There have been reports of the absolute horrors Palestinian male prisoners are going through in Israeli jails and that includes them being raped and sexually assaulted and harassed by Israeli soldiers. Disgusting and just horrendous.

RIP to these heroes. +150 journalists killed since October. Shame on the Western so called journalists who are complicit in this genocide and who have failed the Palestinians, their fellow journalists, and humanity as a whole. A disgrace.

Famously, opening multiple fronts in a war when you haven't met any your stated objectives in the first never fails!

This is an obvious attempt to try to pull the US and UK into the region to "save the only democracy in the middle east," truly nasty work!

Iran's supreme leader reportedly ordered a direct strike on Israel. I hope the sirens will wake me up, that is if they don't only go off minutes after the interceptions begin like the last time :toofunny3:

None of the reactions fit an appropriate response so I just want to see many of us are keeping you in our thoughts. :heart2:

4,000 U.S. marines just arrived from deployment to the Middle East and I feel like it's gotten zero coverage here or abroad except the Washington Post.

So... will we have to open another thread or will we update title of this thread? It's so sad to what has come and how many more innocent lives will be lost

"Tragic" scenes reported in Gaza City, where Israeli air attacks targeted two schools, killing at least 30 people and wounding many others.

Quote

"If 80 percent of the victims are children, then it was not a proportionate attack. So it does not matter if there were a couple of Hamas fighters there or whatever the Israeli military claims. When you kill that many civilians, the result is disproportionate and that's a war crime," the former executive director of Human Rights Watch (HRW) told Al Jazeera.
