This does not cross Joe Biden's red line. In fact, Joe Biden supports this.

A six week ceasefire… why not permanent

He wants this to be out of the news cycle so that protests (and the police response crushing them to restore order) don't overshadow the DNC celebrations in August. Other than that, he doesn't want it to be permanent because he personally supports Netanyahu's goal of ethnically cleansing the Gaza Strip, despite the US government's stated position in support of a two-state solution (that Israel will always fully reject).

The leaders are always to blame. You cannot imprison the citizens. How many Germans voted for Hitler last century?

It's not just israeli leaders. You can see Israelis on Telegram celebrating the atrocities against Palestinians. The society agrees with the slaughter. Unfortunately for you the rest of the world does not have the same empty ideology as a DNC voter who puts all society's ills on to sole individuals. Outside the delusional, individualistic West, society is a whole organism in its own right.

Yes, the European society did in fact support  apartheid and genocide in the past. And so do many Muslim nations. The society produces those atrocities everywhere, it's not just limited to Israel.

Palestinians were cheering when the corpses of dead Jews were paraded around the city.

I don't want them to be punished for the crimes of Hamas.

Doesn't matter what empty desires you have. THEY ARE.

Counterpoint, they were never going to support a ceasefire and the only way forward is to collapse Bibi's coalition.

Seems to me that threatening the ICC and giving Bibi all the diplomatic cover he wants in the UN would do the exact opposite.

According to Obama, "Israelis loved ones were butchered"
But "Palestinians families have been shattered" almost as if there was some sort of terrible accident. completely unrelated to Israel and US supplied bombs.

I'm sure people remember the role the US played in the Yemen war when Obama was President and Biden was vice-President.

- The United States supplied arms to the Saudi led coalition

- The United States provided advice on target selection

- The United States provided combat-search-and-rescue support (rescuing downed Saudi coalition pilots).

- The US Air Force even provided mid-Air refuelling.

Meanwhile in the New York Times, we have a new phrase: "land long used by Palestinians"

Because the New York Times can't say "Palestinian land"
