Hamas bears responsibility for escalating the violence and bringing the ire of the Israelis down to bear. My only point is that it was always a hopeless situation, encouraged by the Americans regardless of partisan affiliation, and Hamas's role was that they brought about the cleansing of Gaza through siege and essentially moved up the time table to have it happen sooner rather than a soft pressure campaign after the Abraham Accords where the Israelis just made the situation so unlivable that the Gazans would have no other recourse but to seek refuge in Egypt or die from famine and disease. Gaza has been under a blockade for decades, and no ideological shift in the Knesset would ever change that reality on the ground.

 

Your assumptions about my beliefs on this are wrong. Jumping to the conclusion that I don't condemn Hamas for their depravity the same way I do the IDF is exactly the kind of bad faith that the Zionists and Biden apologists in this thread do constantly, and I assumed that this conversation was at least more "meaningful" than that, but oh well.
