I don't think dethroning Hamas will solve the issue at all. I mean look at West Bank. The biggest issue is not Iran but Israel gov and their zionism/apartheid practice. Don't expect peace can be achieved in the region as long as Israel keeps discriminating non-Jews.

I mean yes, the Israeli govt is also the main problem, but there is no solution to be had by saying "the Israeli govt needs to stop".  Yes, they do need to stop, but they won't, and there is nothing severe enough that Western nations will do to stop them.  We need to acknowledge this violence will only end once Hamas is destroyed or weakened to the point that Israel deems them to not be a threat, so back to my point, weakening Hamas is going to be one of the most effective ways to end the war.  The Israeli govt does not care at all what the international community thinks of it at this point and our governments will abhorrently continue to support their violence.

I get your point however the violence won't end even Hamas gets wiped out completely. 2023 is one the bloodiest years in West Bank, and there's no Hamas there. Israel is just that aggressive, they just become out of control after recent attack. If we can stop the root problem which is Israel itself then we might see the long awaited peace in the region but at this point it's just delusional thought me fear

funny thing is that most of hamas leaders are not in gaza and operating overseas, so flatting gaza won’t serve anyone except israel

What I'm saying is that there is no way to "stop" Israel until Hamas is taken care of.  I agree with you that the Israeli govt needs to stop the violence, but it's not realistic after the terrorist attack.  Violence in the West Bank is clearly not an active threat to the Israeli govt in the way Hamas has been, these things are not comparable.  Only once the situation has calmed down will any realistic talks happen and for foreign nations to get involved, which, let's be honest, might not add up to anything.  The fact is, Israel will win this war and still have support from many of the most powerful governments on earth.  How many "progressive" and super powerful nations are allied with Saudi Arabia?  Ethics and morals do not matter to powerful governments at an advantage when their global power and influence are threatened.  I can't really think of any realistic scenario where Palestinians are shown compassion or mercy from Israel, it is terrible.  I don't know, I just don't see any peace from this anymore, if anything, it might provoke even more unrest.

Why does Germany have any jurisdiction over the Middle East?

It doesn't. Germany has pledged its unconditional allegiance to Israel due to the past atrocities.

Israel's current government is enacting an apartheid state - there isn't really a doubt about it.

And to quote any sort of American or Western media to justify genocide of Palestinians is crazy - you know they just murdered shitloads of Syrian, Iraqi, and Afghani civilians and got away with it right? France and Mali. The UK and decent cuisine. Their hands are dripping in blood

Germany unabashedly supporting genocide again but flipping the switch is crazy

“You have 3 hours to make a 7 hour walking journey, including transporting any belongings, memories or keepsakes representative of your entire lives and homes. We dgaf what you’ll be returning to, because we don’t want you to return. We dgaf if you’re disabled, injured or can’t drive because we’ve cut off fuel access. We dgaf that you don’t have clean drinking water because we’ve shut that off too. We dgaf if you have pets that may die or stress during the journey. We dgaf if we said this already and killed moving civilians anyway. We are so compassionate, look! It’s a heads up bombing of your city!”

I'm really interested to read what the Israel supporters in this thread have to say about this.

I cannot fathom any of this, I cannot believe how we are witnessing genocide and no government is offering support to the Palestinian people. We, as a society deserve the absolute worst, we have failed in every single way possible and I cannot sleep at night knowing that I can carry on with my life whilst thousands of people are being murdered every minute. It makes me feel guilty, it kills me that I cannot do anything but watch, it kills me to see what the media is doing and it kills me seeing the Palestinians asking for help but no one is there to listen.

What the government of Israel is doing is unspeakable evil,  I am sad, I am upset, and I am scared for what's gonna happen next.

Literal insanity. And we have many people defending these genocidal terrorists because "they warned them!".

This is so dystopian like this honestly reads like something from the Hunger Games. One day I fear we will look back on this the same way we look at the holocaust now asking how this could happen.

Girl the existence of Palestine itself is always an active threat according to Israel whether it's Hamas or Fatah :deadbanana4:

they will always find a way out of the blame, people will rationalize their mistakes, whether they were genuine or disingenuous

1) deny deny deny the severity of it

2) blame the oppressed for their barbarism

3) say they were lied to and insist the truth was obfuscated

4) that they had no control over it and secretly opposed it

This genocide meets all four

see: Armenian genocide, atrocities against Haitians, killing of Iraqi civilians, the Vietnam War

The fact that even Israel is warning them to move out means that Israel will wipe off that part from the map in the next weeks. :biblio:

I’ve never been so disgusted in some of our Western leaders. The spineless washing of hands of 2.2 million lives.

If Europe faces another refugee crisis caused by this ethnic cleansing it will be the downfall of the EU. Ursula WAKE UP you stupid *****. Israel needs a Good Friday Agreement NOW but they will never do it if dumb-**** Western powers keep supporting their war crimes.

This perfectly describe Zionist. How can you be the victim of Holocaust just to end up repeating the same sin. Just mind blowing :deadbanana2:

It's so insane to me that we've just watched an ethnic cleansing of Armenians with the world doing nothing and now we're about to witness an even more brutal one and the world will let it happen again. What a failure of humanity.
