I wouldn't say they're losing power; they're just not pushing their music like they were several years ago. They're constantly releasing new music and having success in their own right. All it'll take is that one single during the spring or summer and they'll regain popularity. For as much as I love reggaeton, it's not something I listen to a lot of during the fall or winter months.

Rosalía is not latina. She's a spaniard.

I'm actual Latino but I consider Rosalia part of the Latin music scene which has always included artists from Spain, there's the language obviously but so much similarity in terms of rhythms and styles and such, growing up nobody would ever have a problem with an artist from Spain being part of the 'Latin music' conversation. Alejandro Sans and Juanes were side by side and no one had an issue.

Well, as an actual latino, she isn't.

I adore her, but she just sings in spanish. That's it. That doesn't make her part of Latin America. She's from Ibero-America (which it's the region comprising countries or territories where Spanish or Portuguese are predominant languages).

I know she's not from Latin America, I guess my point was that because of language and culture and music similarities, big artists from Spain are considered de facto part of the larger Latin American music scene. It definitely felt that way to me growing up in Peru.
