I honestly don't believe her lmao

Not ever retuning to the industry but releases 2 singles in the last year and a half, she contradicts herself all the time

Also Page Six is reliable..

I’m sorry but Britney seems like such an unreliable narrator. How was she ghostwriting for others when they didn’t even allow her to write for herself? :rip:

Every celeb uses a ghostwriter for their autobiography :rip:

you are still on some old tea

She didn’t release one single

she featured vocally on Elton’s (who would say no) and did zero other promo

someone let williaint release an old demo with her on it that she paid complete dust

she made it abundantly clear (multiple times) her heart wasn’t in working on music anymore, obviously sad to see a legend throw their towel into the ring but it’s completely understandable as to why. she may change her mind down the line, who knows, but you don’t experience something that debilitating and come out unscathed. it’s not like she needs the money or to prove anything at this point either, her catalog and ventures alone will keep her more than comfortable for the rest of life, frankly

no shade but she doesn't seem like she's in a mental space to be putting out solo music again so its probably for the best

Someone who doesn't want to EVER RETURN to the music industry

This thread being on top of the Christina one signing to that agency for worldwide representation is sending me. Oh, how times have changed.

I truly do feel bad for her fans. I think one last badass album would be a nice way to retire. I’m sure she will change her mind eventually.

She already made it clear multiple times and on her book that she doesn't have interest on coming back and how she's happier now, away from the spotlight. I know it's hard for the fans to accept this but just get over it and let her be.

The media should stop posting these stupid rumors too, as it only adds to something that doesn't even exist.

Britney didn’t even write her own music and she expects us to believe she’s writing for other artists? :biblio:

So what was Hold Me Closer and Mind Your Business?

I would release a new album, do a big stadium tour, it can be planned in a way that wouldn’t be too demanding, promote it as her last. Oprah interview and Netflix doc then call it a day. Cash in, with all that, she would make up for whatever her family took and more.

It’s a shame she feels this way, but I get it.

MYB was a stitch job of former vocals that Britney had laid down for will.i.am about a decade ago. Britney didn’t initially approve it and she just told will.i.am that he needed to add more to it. HMC is her only new recording in the past 6 years.

She doesn’t care about money so that’s not her motivating factor. My guess is she just wants to get away from some of the former people she was forced to associate with while in the music industry. A lot of the higher ups are evil people and it’s why all of our faves take a step back as soon as they get the power to do so.

I wouldn’t believe her fully, either. She’s going to do whatever she wants to do whenever she wants to do it. Today she may feel like never releasing again, but you never know where her head space will be a few years from now. She’s also been shopping for beats.

That's sad but probably for the best right now

Great 😊

She won’t be missed, that’s for sure.  Talentless and not to mention, crazy and problematic.  Good riddance to this rodent.

Sad. I think she'll release album still tbh. Doesn't she even have contractual obligations? I guess they could release multiple compilations and they would count.

But tbh I think she just talking sh*t because that's what she does and she'll probably still be right back in the studio.

If not, so glad I was able to attend her last US concert for POM because she slayed the entire night.

She’s sounds so angry at her fans. Idk it’s kinda expected but the way she said it’s very unkind and resentful. I get that she’s over the media and all that. Anyway it makes me sad but it’s time to move on.
