Odette Violet Posted June 8 Posted June 8 still my favourite non SM girl group song. The fact that I always have to go back on 2nd Gen just to find gold cause none of the current girlies sans aespa are doing it anymore 2

Meanwhile, TXT, G-IDLE, TWICE, BTS and Stray Kids are everywhere on shelves here. NJ also get stocked regularly, but they sell out Is this only an SM issue? I noticed NCT's U.S. release dates were always a month after the actual comeback. I thought maybe it was only a Target issue but guess not.
OrgVisual Posted June 8 Posted June 8 If SNSD wanted to remove Jessica then what? The 8 vs 1 is very telling. If all of my co-workers want the boss to fire me, I would check myself as well. In fact, None of us know exactly what went down 2

T-ARA late 2010 - 2011 were almost on SNSD's neck if only The Boys and that false bullying never happened I believe this is still the most viewed one for generation 2, both are iconic tho 2

Gorjesspazze9 Posted June 8 Posted June 8 (edited) SM has a history of not knowing how to crossover to Western audiences. Look at how they had Steam with SNSD The Boys & IGAB, but then just ignored the US with Mr. Mr. Release. The literally peak of SNSD global domination, and they didn't follow up with an English EP, even tho it was rumored in the works. Now thier 3rd Gen groups like RV and EXo never got as big because SM sucks at picking English songs. Like Jopping & Life's Too Short who is in the room when they are making these decisions? Like Thirsty should have had an English version last summer, Supernova should get an English release. There is no reason why every other major label is making moves to grow internationally, but SM as one of the literal founders of Hallyu is behind the curve. Like that CD player album thing was getting strong buzz online, SM should have just read the room and took action to start production on more and shipping them to US/EU Nations. The demand was clearly there. And that comment above kinda just further proofs that SM is slacking. Edited June 8 by Gorjesspazze9

They're stuck with their old traditional ways, there's no hope unless there's a true change on the leadership and management. They wasted EXO and RV's potentials, I fear it won't be different for aespa If only they are as greedy as HYBE Edited June 8 by Odette Violet 1

Supernova should be on our Radios.
Odette Violet Posted June 8 Posted June 8 In a perfect world. EXO could've been the biggest boy group in the planet and Kpop wouldn't be as ridiculed 1 1
Pinter Posted June 8 Posted June 8 SM is not as greedy as hybe like SNSD wouldve been huge if they were really trying, Jessica and Tiffany both are very well English speaker their jeti English compilation are always going viral so language was not really a problem...i remember they peeformed the boys on late night show and they were trending on Twitter for how great their vocals and their performance for singing it live...but SM them doing nothing cricket zero.... If you pay attention to the beginning of hallyi wave and KPop reaction...most of it were very negative towards boyband like BTS/bigbang...but very supportive towards girlband...like western audience loves girlband but never took boyband seriously.... Blackpink debuted and steal the wave yg was smart back than inapplauded that

Asscatchem Posted June 8 Posted June 8 4 hours ago, Eternium said: SM kicked out Jaejoong at the peak of TVXQ and got rid of two other members, too. You think any girl group member would be safe? This would be like HYBE getting rid of the biggest BTS member, one of their least popular members and one of their top 3 members right after "Dynamite." LSM is obsessed with Morning Musume and has always wanted a rotational group. The reason he wants that is because then the brand that the company owes will be popular (I.e. the group) while the members are only profitable while in the group. The girls and their parents only "turned" on Jessica after SM caught wind of her starting a fashion business and dating. Who do you think told the members that they would lose all future potential earnings? Did you really think SM of all companies would let any members kick out another or make any major decisions? Wendy, Joy, BoA, Winter, Ningning and Taeyeon have had to publicly beg for better treatment on social media multiple times. What makes you think any of them would get a say in removing a member? sm kicked out JYJ? thought they wanted to secede and end the slave contract. it literally makes 0 sense for sm to kick out jessica and idk why youre taking this stance so hard when jessica herself literally states that the members kicked her out. theres more evidence of turmoil between her and the members than her and the company.

So SM doesn't listen to any member when they're being harrassed then suddenly listen to the members when it's for kicking a member? As the wise words of Stephanie from The Grace, When the groups does good it's thanks to the company (SM) but when they don't it's because of the groups and members... It's how SM are working, literally. And worst part is several people that includes Shinwha, TVXQ, Super Junior, f(x) backed those claims saying that the company would scold them if they did less good than the previous era, but the groups would have to celebrate producers and staff because of their success.
