Melissa lost her publicist and two big roles in the past week. I don't know what followers on social media will do if she's blacklisted from Hollywood and brands won't touch her.

This is so unbelievable and dystopian. They’ve now ruined this franchise simply because the lead actress spoke out against a genocide.

Hopefully Melissa gets her justice one day. Hope this now imminent flop movie is cancelled and Spyglass never has a hit again.

It's SO scary and sad. I hate that this is the world we live in.

Hopefully she can still find work in the indie and international market. Thankfully, Hollywood has lost more and more relevance and their ability to gatekeep is slipping.

Yall need to also not try and drag him when he doesn't get the final word. Hes also a human trying to make a living following his dreams as well. NDA's are signed for a reason and this could ruin his career if he says anything as well.

The studio (spyglass) is at fault here

He's directed plenty of other movies, he can step away from this one and be fine.

He's not the villain here but he definitely doesn't need our pity or sympathy - he can make the right choice and stand up for her.

It shows public opinion is on her side. Hollywood big wigs will try to blacklist her but this is not 1950 anymore.

I hope you're right, I'm just becoming very cynical lately

She’ll be fine. In a couple years other studios will be willing to work with her.

i side with melissa 100% on this issue but she's not exactly a talent, bfr

Well, she was talented enough to be cast as the lead for two franchises

This is stupid. This isn’t even something that someone would get fired from at a regular job. As long as what someone says isn’t discriminatory, then they can have their own opinions.

Hollywood is not the only movie industry in the world. Clearly, the Palestinian question will become much more important in culture as we go forward. These Hollywood executives are playing an already dead game.

I am interested to see how the studio will respond to this backlash. The majority of Scream fans are saying they are done with the series at this point.

Sam is one of the main reason why I really love Scream 5 & 6 and Melissa killed it as Sam.

so byeee Scream 7.

wes craven is rolling over in his grave at how these people have fumbled his most lucrative intellectual property every step of the way, he would have never let this happen

she brought her A+ game to scream vi and it had me so excited to see more from her, which makes this all the more infuriating because she's going to lose so many opportunities to show how much she's grown as an actress

I really liked her in Scream, this is horrible. Hollywood is digusting. :rip:

This franchise had already gotten boring and derivative to me so I checked out of it long ago. The last Scream installment I watched was the 4th one with Emma Roberts and Hayden Panetierre. Anyway, I'm glad y'all are gonna boycott the film.

It’s not Wes’s IP.

OT: No Melissa, No Scream 7.

Whelp.

i love scream, I love the franchise, and I love every film, but no way am I watching scream 7 now. I guess Paramount doesn't understand their audience very well

Scream is my fave horror franchise. In fact, the only horror franchise I've followed since I was a literal kid in the late 90s. It's also the most consistent and (to me) best slasher.

I'm so angry Spyglass is ******* this entire thing up. There's no Scream 7 without Melissa and Jenna.

I will boycott Scream 7 (and Thanksgiving, which is also a Spyglass production)

They ****** up. Zionism and fascism is inexcusable!
