I think it’s more accurate to say that BAL was a fluke hit rather than the album flopped.
 

I think PinkPatheress will occupy a Charli XCX tastemaker space in the pop with the occasional hit but a long lasting career with a dedicated following. The album is really fun.

I don’t get the PinkPantheress hype at all. So many people tell me she’s such a good writer, her music is ahead of it’s time, she’s truly captures Gen Z etc.. but all of her music feels so incomplete, watered down, without structure. I guess that’s the point but it doesn’t really make for a good listening experience at all, atleast for me

I'm shocked she even charted in the US at all honesty. She's a British artist with one hit. Now the debut in the UK, that was actually disappointing

PinkPantheress is intentionally faceless - it's not entirely a knock to her. Look at her Instagram. Even when she first launched her TikTok all of her videos were intentionally angled in a way that made her appear anonymous.

Ice Spice is more recognizable and has been a breakout artist this year. Her hairstyle alone, and having a drink named after her at Dunkin Donuts are testaments to that. Ice will continue to bubble, and have a huge moment next year when she releases more music. People only just found out about her (myself included).

Because she was a very obvious one hit wonder in the US, the song went viral because of TikTok and that's it. No one ever cared about her as an artist over there.
