There’s something so sinister about the things I’ve seen from pro-Israel supporters. It’s simultaneously playing the victim, but also making jokes and stupid phrases like “Zionism is sexy” while innocent Palestinian civilians get mercilessly slaughtered, and their children seen as nothing more than collateral damage. 

 

While religion is a terrifying thing, I fear even if it didn’t exist, these evil swine would find other reason to slaughter those who are different from them. I hope one day they can feel an ounce of the pain that other’s have felt for the cause they support, hopefully to evoke some kind of empathy and human understanding, but the things they say are so devoid of heart that it’s possible the only good from that would be to see karma swing its big stick. 

 

And just to be clear, Jewish people have obviously experienced oppression and still do experience anti-semitism to this day, but you’d be hard pressed to justify this dumb celebrity experiencing even a modicum of the suffering the Palestinian people are facing.

Countries are legal constructs, they have changed throughout history according to sociopolitical movements. Israel as a country not existing has nothing to do with the people living there. then please suggest what they can do through non violent means. they've been trying to get their land back for over 70 years, Israel just keeps stealing more and more from them. Hamas' response is to decades of oppression. I don't condone the killing of innocent lives but Hamas seems to be discussed a lot when it comes to people who support Israel. They use it as a means to push the blame on Palestine, and not the decade long apartheid, oppression, pain and suffering that Palestinians have gone through. They've literally had most of their land stolen, they're forced to live in what's been called "an open air prison" which they can't freely leave, and they've had thousands, tens of thousands of deaths in decades after Israel was formed as a country. All of those innocent children slaughtered. I also don't like how people like to bring up how they don't support LGBT. I'm gay, but I support people's right to live over their right to express their sexuality. It's not great that Palestine as a nation wouldn't support LGBTQ people, but people being able to live their life, and go through their life (without the imminent threat of being bombed to death, running out of food, running out of water, and not being able to get medical treatment due to their hospitals being bombed) is more important to me, and most people which is why people support the movement regardless.
