Is Taylor on course to move ahead of Rihanna when it comes to Billboard number 1's ?

Screaming at you all still in here doing this. :skull: This thread wasn’t even made by a Taylor fan, this was purely a bait thread. Do better. :skull:

Tbh something from debut if promoted properly might go #1

She'll have us believe she wrote lines like "Did the twin flame bruise paint you blue?" at 14 and we'll eat it up :khalyan:

Because you are using information that isn't accurate :rip: If you look at Anti-Hero's cert, it's only at 2X. It massed 6M units last week. The US is just a place where certification updates aren't automatic. I know this and you know this but you decide to use certs because Rihanna's are more up to date than Taylor's :rip:

Cruel Summer has been top 10 for literal months and will likely be there for months to come. It's still doing 4-5M daily on Spotify and will be close to 2B on Spotify by next summer where it will no doubt get another boost.

What are you talking about? I said it's bigger than anything POST-We Found Love. You know what that means, right? Or are you genuinely stupid?

***** you have literally compared Taylor’s current stats to Rihanna’s all over this site despite the fact the latter is practically retired? Is that the best way to use your time?:rip: but now we’re supposed to change the goal posts because the metric isn’t in your favor

Yet you’d literally Spotify-stat us all to death if you could :ahh:

and I stand by what I said someone that stans an artist that released “Me!” with her whole chest shouldn’t mention WFL in any context

What goal posts are being moved :deadbanana: Using a cert for something is nonsense if the song has actually moved many more units than that cert says. What are you not understanding?

No, you just don't understand what I said because I was not dragging We Found Love in the slightest :rip:Let me spell it out. I said it is bigger than any post-WFL Rihanna song which indicates it is bigger than any Rihanna song that came after We Found Love. I didn't know I'd be giving grammar lessons in here but I guess we're educating the Navy in more ways than one now

Well Rihanna was the most pirated artist during the digital era. Country and country-pop music has always sold better than hip hop/R&B leaning pop music (in America, at least).

Taylor didn't have the crossover radio appeal that Rihanna's had. Obviously her songs aren't gonna get played on R&B, hip hop and rhythmic radio stations. But she's had way more support than Rihanna on pop radio since at least 2013, and has had huge support from adult pop and adult contemporary radio (unlike Rihanna).

Umm are we talking about Rihanna or Alicia Keys and Beyonce. Rihanna has been releasing pop albums/singles since her debut except during anti where even the singles (sans Needed Me) were very pop leaning. Do you think she’d be that big in Europe if she was releasing R&B or Hip Hop music. She had more pop radio support (which sell singles) than all her white peers so I don’t get that part. Rythmic and Urban also played her pure pop songs like WFL, Take A Bow, S&M, etc. Urban, Rythmic, Country and HAC push albums the most and that didn’t really help since her only multi-platinum album in sales is GGGB. That also needed a re-release to reach that. It would be a different story in Europe where her singles and albums actually sell great.

Taylor fans really arguing that Cruel Summer is bigger than any Rih song post WFL is crazy considering Taylor prior to Anti Hero hadn’t had an organic/ non fan driven peak hit since the 1989 era :rip:

Not to mention Rih has had many global smashes since WFL… including Diamonds, Work, Stay, TIWYCF, Wild Thoughts, The Monster… :rip:

In fact, I’d argue most of those songs are much bigger than CS on a global scale.

most people knows now cardigan cause it has been a GIGANTIC viral hit. You  are the one that needss to get out of his bubble lol

while Umbella, diamonds, we found love and some others are classic like the songgs from 1989 songs like where have you been, what's my name, rude boy, s&m are not famous on new generations.

Taylor has absolutely more gp driven songs right now cause she didn't retired 10 years ago and her music still lives with millions new fans and people in general discovering old hits.

again go out of the bubble cause cruel summer is bigger than anythingg rihanna has made post 2013. Be serious.

Cruel summer is not bigger than work, be serious yourself lol, or even this is what you came for or wild thoughts. All of the Rihanna songs you mentioned have been in viral Tik Tok trends or on movie trailers just this year. Taylor stans just lie like they can't easily be clocked lmao.

Work is at 3.6M, not 4M

As the years pass, the streaming gap will become wider and wider :rip: Do we need to explain how time works?

Not you using certs, the loser level. Two weeks ago cruel summer wasn’t  even gold in Australia, one week later is 4xPLATINUM that tells enough about certs as measurement of anything

Well as of now Work has more certified units in the UK alone than the other song has worldwide! But maybe if you ask ChartMasters they’ll tell you that the other song is bigger :bird:

We can only go off of official data, I don't know what to tell you. Cruel Summer is not certified Platinum in Taylor's home country. And Rihanna didn't need 4 years + new remixes/live versions and momentum to make one song a hit. End of story.

You've made far more arbitrary comparisons than most users on this site please stop the whining :ahh:Work alone is 9x platinum/nearly Diamond and reportedly at 1.2 B+ streams just like CS. Congrats on Australia I guess.

And if all song covers automatically go platinum then I guess "Untouchable" (Scooter's Version) is also platinum at this point, right? :toofunny2: And I already know that reading comprehension isn't your strong suit but I'll reiterate: I don't care about the context of your statement - any dweeb that stans the woman that released "ME!" as a lead single has no room to mention WFL (a 10 week #1 song which Taylor still has yet to achieve) in any capacity irrespective of your point.

United States (RIAA)[171] 9× Platinum 9,000,000

Congrats on Australia I guess.

And if all song covers automatically go platinum then I guess "Untouchable" (Scooter's Version) is also platinum at this point, right? :toofunny2: And I already know that reading comprehension isn't your strong suit but I'll reiterate: I don't care about the context of your statement - any dweeb that stans the woman that released "ME!" as a lead single has no room to mention WFL (a 10 week #1 song which Taylor still has yet to achieve) in any capacity irrespective of your point.

Honey, it was an example of how meaningless they are. Anyways if this makes you happy, go ahead. Enjoy Rihanna’s  tongs and make up and will do with Taylor’s albums, singles and tours

Well as of now Work has more certified units in the UK alone than the other song has worldwide! But maybe if you ask ChartMasters they’ll tell you that the other song is bigger :bird:

Cruel Summer just crossed 1M units in the UK :dies:

i think that depends on whether Rihanna will return to music in the next 2 years. i can see her scoring another 3 to 4 hits. otherwise, Taylor will likely catch up in the next 2-3 years.

But that's just the thing.. who are you determine which metrics are worthless? If any of you want to make a claim such as CS iS bIggEr tHan aNY rIHaNna SOnG sInCE WfL then at least provide some receipts to back it up.

Are you upset that Rihanna can have successful ventures both in and outside of music? Hence her becoming a Billionaire with a lingerie/make up empire, the 2nd best selling female artist of all time only behind Madonna (with no re-recordings), and an Oscar nominee.

I've been buying every Rihanna album since GGGB Reloaded in 2008 and I attended both the Diamonds World tour and the Anti WT so I'm not sure why you're implying that you/your fanbase are the only ones that can "enjoy" albums and tours? You probably haven't even been a TS stan as long as I've been a Rih stan :ahh:

she will. the question is will she pass Mariah? she's at another peak of her career but her singles post-lead have always had a hard time getting high peaks
