Do y'all have any capability for self-reflection? "Style" is literally in the top 30 on Spotify, getting over 2M streams daily, and you still have someone question its classic status, as if these aren't insane recurrent numbers. 1 4

Totally opposite definition of classic i fear Cardigan - 969,733,514 (+1,620,483) Love On The Brain - 1,266,076,012 (+719,603) Read my post again, nowhere did I say Bloody Mary is a classic - just that it’s more well known among the general public 1 1

The album tracks claimed here are doing 1.5 MILLION streams daily. The fact that Taylor may have 100 album tracks with 200k streams but only two with 1.5M is literal proof of how these specific tracks have reached an audience outside of her fanbase, because her own fanbase alone can only carry tracks to 200k daily streams. If you don't see how different the scales are between these two types of album tracks, then idk what to tell you. I was going to go off on a tangent again but let's bring it back to the topic and let me put it simply: do you think Don't Blame Me is a bigger classic than Umbrella, Crazy in Love, Shake it Off, Toxic, Bad Romance etc because it's currently bringing in more Spotify numbers than the songs mentioned. Yes or no? 1

Style and WD are more recognizable than most of the Rihanna songs here The Eurocentric and biased list lol 1 1

Yes or no? "Don't Blame Me" is not even close to being 10 years old, so no I don't claim it to be a classic compared to those songs that are all older than it (and some it hasn't even outstreamed). But if by 10-15 years time it still remains one of the 100 most consumed songs of its time, then there certainly would be an argument to claim it as a bigger classic. But that is a question that can only be answered in the future, unlike other, actually older Taylor Swift songs that do qualify as classics and have excellent streams that support their "classic"-status. already Like I literally have no words y'all have completely convinced yourselves that streams are the only metric for judging a song as a classic Nope, Lover is already have like more UNITS than any Beyonce song since AISF. Fair enough. 3 minutes ago, FolkLover1989 said: Using chart performance of Style and WD from time when they weren't available on streaming and streaming became major factor in most countries No offense, but Rihanna songs generally have always had more and higher placements worldwide than Taylor's. And that's why FFS for instance can top charts in like ten countries and it was deemed an underperformance while the same result from Taylor would be deemed a great success. Streaming or no streaming. Also I doubt streaming had as much points in 2015 as it does in 2023. 2
