Did People advertise this as an interview? To me it seems like Britney sent them back excerpts from the book that were relevant to the questions they sent her.

 

I love how she refuses to do the glammed up professional photoshoots. That's literally the whole point of her reclaiming her humanity so it makes total sense that she doesn't care about "looking" like a celebrity. Her mind is so meta like it's always been.

In her testimony, she mentioned being silenced and she begged the judge to do an interview where she could be heard.  That does not sound like somebody uncomfortable doing interviews if she was begging for one.  That call was made public for the media and public and she didn't sound uncomfortable.

The pictures are obviously not the best and they are basically what she usually posts on ig

 

The important part is that this is on brand with her current image and it makes her feel in control of her life.

 

I think that her whole unprofessional aesthetic on ig is her way to express control over her body and mind

People magazine did not even speak with Britney.  If they couldn't get an in person interview with her, what makes you think they got a photoshoot with her.
