family.guy123 Posted October 16, 2023 Posted October 16, 2023 And Prince in 1984. He also almost had the #1 album at the same time as well. Triple and double threats only. 1
naval23 Posted October 16, 2023 Posted October 16, 2023 Cruel Summer hitting #1 will be one of the most iconic chart runs She better go all out

Like she did in the past 2 months? lol... she won't move. It's been months in that 5% gap or less from the top. She just don't want to, we all know when she wants she can score another 200 points in like 2 days.
Maroonx Posted October 16, 2023 Posted October 16, 2023 I think those points are a bit off. I think Doja is ahead by 1-2 points, and Drake is right behind with 2-3 points difference. So It's a tight race. Top 3: 1. Doja 205 points 2. Taylor 203 points 3. Drake 200 points I hope Taylor pulls ahead. x
LastGreatBloodline Posted October 16, 2023 Posted October 16, 2023 if Doja stays at #1 it will be so uneventful
Life Savers Posted October 16, 2023 Posted October 16, 2023 I just bought Cruel Summer. This better be the week. 3

Okay but those "fad country songs" were more impactful than when Taylor pushed both Cardigan and WIllow with countless remixes and discounts to undeserving number ones blocking songs that had actual impact, so maybe try being in those other shoes lol. 1 1 13

I smell a dupe OT: Both are great songs
Angelo Posted October 17, 2023 Posted October 17, 2023 C’mon TayTay! She can call Beyonce and start a Cruel Summer dance trend or something.
dabunique Posted October 17, 2023 Posted October 17, 2023 I’m here like yes my girl gets four solo weeks at number one longer than any other female rapper (I’m not counting dat Lizzo song) so yes it’s eventful for us
PoisonPill Posted October 17, 2023 Posted October 17, 2023 I've lost all dignity and have purchased CS on iKoons and Amazon 6
Green Posted October 17, 2023 Posted October 17, 2023 Taylor doesn't need to do anything. Only 2k more copies can do the job and Swifties are working on that since the song is #1 on itunes.

naval23 Posted October 17, 2023 Posted October 17, 2023 Tay needs to ask AI to make a music video for Cruel Summer and just use it There's no excuses at this point missy 1
pride4jc1222 Posted October 17, 2023 Posted October 17, 2023 Actually, Cardigan and Willow didn't block any song from #1. It just prevented big songs, like Rockstar (DaBaby) and AIWFCIY, from getting an additional week at #1. The only one that Taylor blocked was Rich Flex, which would have been a 2-3 week #1. Speaking of Drake, IDGAF is challenging for #1:
Green Posted October 17, 2023 Posted October 17, 2023 I wouldn't be surprised if Drake is the one that tries something to get the #1 Breaking MJ's record a week after tying it sounds like a big deal.

I agree, that record is a huge deal. I still have faith Taylor will squeeze in one last promo this week. I know she's not petty but I'd like her to be petty enough and block IDGAF at the last minute
pride4jc1222 Posted October 17, 2023 Posted October 17, 2023 Based on this tweet, TOTC is favoring Cruel Summer to be #1 on this week's chart:
Steve Johnson Posted October 17, 2023 Posted October 17, 2023 Where is TayTay? Didn’t she say she listens to her fans all the time? And where is TaylorNation?

Speaking of Drake, IDGAF is challenging for #1: Right answer, wrong reason. Right in that the song was always challenging for #1 (by virtue of being close), wrong in that that's the reason. The song jumped 20% in streams last Monday as well. If anything, this was expected and should've been factored in already into predictions.
