Are we still feeling the same based on scarlet’s first day numbers? I knew that the album would significantly underperform based on the pre/singles streaming numbers. And yes PTTR was underperforming until tik tok latched on to it. Y’all still think she can hit no.1 on billboard 200?  How are we feeling now?

I never thought she was gonna have strong first week sales since I don’t think PH hit 6 figures. She may get another random viral track from the album, but the album isn’t really sitting that well with me.

She doesn’t have physicals for some reason so it will be a miracle at this point. I’ll be happy with just top 10 but for some reason I don’t think that’s gonna happen. 
 

As for me liking the album. I like about eight songs. That’s a decent number, right

This era obviously wasn't going to smash like Planet Her. Doja literally denounced her popstar status and isn't making music for radio anymore. Despite the controversy she was still able to get a smash hit, which kind of proves that it hasn't hurt her, people are still tuning in and discussing and debating her more than ever before.

 

Miley & Flowers come to mind, look at how the actual album it was attached to came and went and no one was really talking about it, it was all centered around the success of Flowers which completely eclipsed the era. This is not what's happening to Doja and that's a good thing. Of course, they are completely different types of artists and Miley is technically a "legacy act" now, so getting a beyond smash worldwide hit at her stage is an amazing feat, but I'm just putting into perspective how PTTR is just icing on the cake for Doja this era.

 

She will prevail and people will still continue to watch her.

Meh…I don’t think it’s happening.  
 

She need to get off her ass actually promote.    With such a polarizing era with a message (supposedly), doing interviews to explain her creative process would’ve helped. 

 

Agora will be a hit though, imo.
