There’s no way she’s doing physicals for a 2 part project with the first part being only 7 songs and no confirmed date for part 2. 
 

 

She needs to announce the date asap if the date is still the date Supervillian gave us. The whole rollout for this has been a mess and we didn’t have these issues with the past two independent albums.

I'll be honest... It's about 2 weeks away and still no confirmation is a bit concerning... I hope it's still coming in Sept 8

Her SoundCloud streams are weird. Are they being counted for billboards? I was so confused lmao, her peers are getting thousands of play while she gets millions there. Her daily stream and debut are much bigger there.

 

it might has to do with her mixtapes and other tracks, cause her mixtapes and other tracks has million’s of stream on SoundCloud. I wish SoundCloud was relevant like Spotify or AM.

as far as i know, soundcloud counts towards billboard now. i do think you might be onto something with the mixtapes potentially being the reason the songs gain a bit more attention there tho. it’s just so unexpected either way

i do feel like soundcloud, in a weird way, is as relevant as spotify or am just in a different way & tbh that might be it. people going there for the old stuff/nostalgia that’s there and only there but staying once they see the new stuff is there too makes a lot of sense.

I think she should announce the full thing with two different dates for each part. Like a Disc 1 and Disc 2 type of thing on streaming

 

And the full thing on vinyl, it would be too much of a logistics to announce two separate vinyls

bryson tiller also just released a new mixtape on soundcloud and it has decent numbers (about 250k each tracks on average, dropped about a week ago) i think soundcloud has its niche users or something

 

also i just noticed both TTMN and Needs on soundcloud aren't available in my country  i was just about to stream on there

Yeah it does. Their users tend to be more niche and less mainstream in a way. 
 

Her niche and experimental stuff seem to do better on there.
 

TTMN has 3.9 million streams 

Needs has 1.4 million streams 

those are good numbers for her.

That is because her and her new label are not on the same page and they are rushing.

 

I feel (and base on the information shared) Tinashe is the one that want this project out and the tour. I feel the label wanted some singles , more collabs, and an EP sometimes this year and push the album to next year. This multiple EPs album was probably the compromise. The planning of everything seem to be rush and not clear.  From her signing her deal and her planning to release a project right after was probably not enough time, since  this new relationship is so new. 
 

She said Nice Life understands her and her art, that may be true but

I don’t think they figured out how to promote and market her yet. I hope they stay away from marketing her to basic gp taste and generation Z and focus on identifying her audience and get her music to them.  She has her own lane and sound, all she needs is to get her music to right audiences.
