i know we always say this in tinashe threads, but-

i have no idea what they’re doing right now. with the level of streams and sales she gets, they would likely be in debt.

What the hell would they be in debt with Tinashe? She recorded this album in her home, there are no features to pay, to samples to clear. Ike is the only engineer who she's good friends with. This is literally made in her house! 

 

Not to mention there's no substantial promo for this to be called "expensive". There isn't even physicals being made at the moment?

I honestly think this ALBUM is a trial run of sorts for Nice Life to see Tinashe viability with limited resources.

because the income from streaming is low, so is youtube, the only other money is digital sales right now. they’ve paid for 7 beats, some which have multiple producers, vocals are usually done in studio but maybe she does at home not sure. shes done 3 videos that require some assistance for hair makeup styling, cameras, directing, renting locations, backup dancers, digital effects. she can do some of these herself but not everything.

 

it is unfortunately normal to do this kind of stuff and pay out of pocket, an investment in yourself. like i said, i just don’t see what their game is right now. i guess she’ll be touring again.

What I'm trying to say is Tinashe has always known how to stretch a dollar and uses everything she has. For close contacts (Director of TTMN also did SRFU and Stormy), to minimalistic approach (I mean Uh huh was shot is one place and only has one look, there is NO WAY that is expensive.) 

 

and Tinashe is always making her money from touring, that's why this tour with ShyGirl is crucial in the fruition of Part 2 of this project I assume.

supporting the songs on playlists has made me finally come around to Needs, it's fun! I think listening to TTMN constantly for the longest has made me a bit tired of it though. Treason and Gravity kinda switch around for me
