I listened again just to make sure my memory was still in tact.

Its not a bad song. it just doesn’t feel like a Tinashe song. Anyone could have sang it, and it feels very… kidz bop. And it came out around one of the most exhausting points in her career.

I am disappointed of how the industry treats her, but it is expected. The way her peers in the industry treat her is even more disheartening. I know a lot of them are listening to this and creating their new moodboard off her . Not a single one of them show any love. I know they don’t have to nor was I truly expecting them, but it is still disappointing. I was very happy with how much love they show Victoria love for the last couple weeks.

You can't expect public support from everyone. Besides the industry life in general is unfair. Let's be grateful that she still has a passion for this and provides for us instead of dwelling on the negative. To already know what you signed up for being her fan and still being disappointed from the lack of x y and z at this point you're doing it to yourself. Just enjoy the music, everything that comes with it is a welcome bonus. You also don't know who is showing support behind the scenes in real life. Remember alot of activism from celebrities is usually performative.

This mini-album is phenomenal.

As much I hate to admit it , she was right about giving it to us in two parts. These songs are humongous growers. The songs I would normally skipped and learn to love over time, I am force to seat with them until they click. I love every song on this project. There is no fillers. This mini-album is such an easy listen. It still still too short. I need her to at very least start promoting next one after the tour though and release by late December or early January at the absolute latest.

I agree about needing to drop the next one the latest by the end of the year and give us collaborations all of next year to hold us over. Still tight at how we never got S4Y deluxe and tbh we need a record full of uptempo dance ****, please bring back NASHE.

I think because they are threatened by her. She literally has everything. She’s better at making music, a professional dancer, and extremely beautiful. I don’t blame her for not wanting to interact with fake industry people.

But will fake it to networking purposes. She can't always have it her way and find the kind of popularity and success that she so clearly wants unfortunately.

Forget most these fake ass people. She needs to hit up Victoria monet and invite kaytranada with Dmile. Hit up Chloe and Halle and invite disclosure and machinedrum.  Snoh with the Neptune would be a fire collab. Try to get partynextdoor (if he isn’t full of ****) and **** everybody else. They all fake ass *******. Years ago I would love a bank collab but she has fall off a bit artistically.

She has done severals song with Flume. They should coming out soon. She has also worked with black coffee and mark ronson I don’t think those will be released. As far as DJ collab kaytranada, disclosure, sg Lewis , k/da, and flume.

As for K-pop I don’t know. They have been saying that for years and tinashe tell them to send her songs or have their team contact hers but that never happened. I feel that K-pop showing love to her is little performative to justify them stealing from her.  If it is true I don’t think their label will allowed it. If it was to happened I only see newjeans and aespa.

You can't assume and general everyone i listed as fake. Again you don't know these people personally or what their dynamic with her is like. She and Kaytranada need to officially release Piece Of Me like what in the actual ****. Tee working with Disclosure and The Neptunes would be fire. Several songs with Flume and yet none of them have come out? Girl what are you doing! I knew of her working with Mark Ronson but Black Coffee is news to me. Why do you think that they won't be released? Her and Kaytranada need to release a joint album together or he needs to executive produce a record for her.

If and for whatever reason she can't do features or collaborations she should be sending other artists especially the kpop scene demos and join writing camps. It'd be an easy and alternate way to secure the bag for her and open doors. We don't know if demos were never exchanged. I mean at one point Tinashe was considered to be a part of K/DA and who's label won't allow it? Aespa would be great as they have the dark futuristic sound that Tinashe tends to dabble in.

Not true. Especially considering she herself doesn't like the song nor did she want it to be out is telling.

Other songs from that era that were unfortunately unreleased from her vault that should've seen the light of day are Prisoner, Just Like You, Eat You Up, Heavy just to name a few.

I still think of when we were suppose to get songs like Reckless, Level Up, Stop Lights, Therapy, Green Light and Mozzarella Sticks 😥

I can understand her backtracking on Green Light since she explained the full song just sounded bad, but I need to know what the deal was with Stop Lights. It sounded on theme for Joyride and was talked about so much by her and publications, then suddenly everyone involved Pretend™️ it doesn't exist :rip:

RCA was so dark sided for the late Joyride era, I still remember the backlash toward Flame bc she was a "sellout" for doing pop music

Needs is a smash hit waiting to happen. She needs tiktok to get onboard and/or radio payola. If Bouncin and X flop we can only pray 🙏

They are fake. As I said in my previous post. I didn’t expect them to or they obligated to do so. They don’t owe her anything. It would still be nice if all the girl’s support each other. They are fake cause they bite of her sound while paying her dust. They use her as inspiration and discard her.

K-pop is business it about making money and expanding their reach. Tinashe collab might be great to have artistic but may not be financially advantageous move for them. As you said we don’t know if they never reach out, but I do know for a fact most don’t reach out or follow through. If they want to purchase the songs Tinashe doesn’t uses for her project that is fine. It is better to make money of them than rather them just sitting on her hard-drive. She shouldn’t be involved in no writing camp or any of that nonsense.

She work mark ronson a while ago but nothing ever come out, he may still release a song at some point, but I am not optimistic.

She has work with a lot of DJ and electronic artists over past couple years, especially last year. We will definitely get a lot of electronic/house/dance music coming soon and throughout next year. So will see

After some time with it I really like this project, but I’m calling it her 1st mini album to be at peace with the length :gaycat:

Gravity, Treason & Tightrope are highlights. The visual dip in quality with the videos this era was concerning but the music still hits so it’s still a success for me :alexz: interested to see how she follows this sound up

This is veeery solid. It being a mini album is not a problem because all the tracks sound so good.

Treason & None of My Business

Not rly into drum & bass so Tightrope and gravity didn't do it for me.

This album is a luxurious heaven ugh we can always trust her

As amazing as Talk to Me Nice and Needs are, they are the "worst" songs here. Gravity and Tightrope are next level, None of My Business and Uh Huh are just so great and Treason is by far her best opener. Part 2 can't come soon enough!

Posted

Does she have anything coming up promo wise that we know of?  It seems like there isn’t much visibility this era as there was during 333, not even any radio/online/podcast interviews.

Gravity, Needs and None of Your Business sitting comfortably at the top of my bedroom charts :jonny5:
