Doing Reality TV mostly. Nicole has really struggled with her identity as an artist. She's been wanting to 'happen' on Pop for so many years, but that developed into a huge insecurity for her, she's been basically teasing solo music every single year for the past decade now. But she's finally realized that Pop is way too small for her. The stage is where she belongs. And seeing her cry night after night during curtain call... You can tell how much she's waiting for this moment of validation, appreciation and respect for who she is and what she can do as an artist. 1
HardBambi Posted January 15 Posted January 15 Soooo glad she’s shining bright! People who appreciate artistry and talent don’t have difficulties remembering her name as the GP does

Inverted Posted January 15 Posted January 15 Happy she's finally achieving what she's dreamed of since college instead of the pop girl thing she settled for (and the GP never accepted her for and the gays bullied her for). 2 hours ago, Smarticle said: Where's cypriotpcdfan when u need him Banned while his fave is finally getting the recognition she deserves. Off to Broadway and hopefully the Tony's. 1 hour ago, UnderratedVocalist said: Doing Reality TV mostly. Nicole has really struggled with her identity as an artist. She's wanted to work in theater even at the height of her fame in the PCD days. In this video, she looks depressed being on the "When I Grow Up" video set while they're across from a theater. https://www.instagram.com/p/C17N0SQOj4-/?hl=en

conquxror Posted January 16 Posted January 16 The hype for this in the west end has been insane — and she has been extremely acclaimed. she’s definitely scoring a tony nomination and if they release a cast recording album she’s 100% winning a grammy too. 1

The universal acclaim she's receiving is insane. But if you watch the show, you understand that it's 100% warranted. It's crazy how good she is and the things she's doing on that stage. It's a very demanding performance, physically, vocally and emotionally and she was doing that 7 times a week. I'm also pretty sure she'll perform either at the What's On Stage or the Olivier Awards, maybe even both. Now, I don't know what I'd want her to sing between As If We Never Said Goodbye or With One Look. Both are showstopper numbers. 2

As much success as it gave her, it also came with a lot of negatives. Firstly, boxing her as just another mediocre Pop Star, giving her the false narrative of being 'mean' and a '***** behind the scenes'. Nicole's talent has always been far greatest that the limited Pop sphere.

XtinaStripped Posted January 17 Posted January 17 This was a logical career move about a decade ago for her. It's great she's finally made the plunge and seeing success! She's so talented and has been wasted as a TV personality way too much of her career. 1
spiritboy Posted January 17 Posted January 17 I’d rather have her succeed on theatre than release an album and flop. I was mesmerized by her Phantom of the Opera performance and i can’t wait to hear Sunset cast recording since i am a huge fan of the musical. 2
spiritboy Posted January 17 Posted January 17 A new pop album will flop big time so why waste time? I’m glad she’s taking this direction and having enormous success with it. 1

OT: So happy for her she deserved a way bigger career, but things finally seem to fall into place, acknowledgement-wise at least! 1
