Because its initial run was bigger than Blank Space in countries with official charts (aka Europe and Anglosphere). 

 

Unlike Work or Only Girl, it had bigger global success and better longevity than Blank Space tho

Obviously Tay and Adele are the biggest so no point in even breaking their stuff down. All I know is if Rih didn’t have so many features her numbers wouldn’t be that big not even close. Also, up until Anti she had like 2 albums at most that were truly big, gigantic albums. I would love to see her attempt to sell out a stadium tour like any of the other girls.

The person you quoted literally said touring records lol. And so because only two international female artists played in that stadium means that the achievement isn't an achievement? Is this because it's in Africa?

Rihanna has two albums bigger than Midnights and Lover globally though not for long given their longevity.

Rihanna has zero album as big as Red, Fearless or 1989.

This was a terrible take. The Rated R mention when it's more pop than Unapologetic, and the biggest european hits from Unapologetic are ballads  "Russian Roulette" a ballad from Rated R was the 9th biggest hit of 2010 in Europe (bigger than Rude Boy, the dance pop single)  

 

Rated R nearly matches Talk That Talk & Unapologetic in pure sales in Europe.

 

Anti was the 3rd most streamed album of 2016 in the UK. Smashed in France, Belgium, Netherlands, Denmark, Poland, Norway, Sweden and still got certifications in the european countries where it underperformed and... despite its chaotic start it ended up doing similar numbers to Unapologetic & Talk That Talk in Europe
