It’s crazy how black artists face actual racism everyday but it’s being used as a defense to protect faves who collaborated with an accomplice to murder by neglect. :rip:

I guess people did forget.

We have the receipts. You don't have to be a Beyoncé fan, but you should have be part of the Ku Klux Klan instead. It suits your morals better.

Hopefully I won't be sitting next to you at the concert tonight.

You sound like an insane person

I was beyonce hater when I joined to forum, but I’ve been defending her for years now, I really love her

This thread isn’t meant to shade her or isolate her

But to acknowledge what happened in astroworld and not give Travis a pass

Yeah it’s an insult to people who suffer real racism

Using racism as a shield to protect Travis is next level sick

People should not use these terms so lightly.

Accusing? Maybe you should check your facts first because he actually said this about Beyoncé. You’re just defending a racist here. I can’t :rip:

I have never called her that, even when I was a teen joining this forum

It was a permaban back then too.

Stop derailing the thread with your nonsense

It should be warnable to use “racism” to a valid critic of a very problematic artist

This forum needs to start warning members that use racism for the sake of it

It’s insulting to actual racist cases or situations

I don’t really care about Travis but I care about double standards. I actually think most people forgot what happened at AstroWorld minus the conspiracy theorists. He has almost 60 million monthly listeners, his fanbase is huge. I had been to a festival where he performed and his fans are crazy wild. I have never experienced such a crowd  before. People were jumping and pushing around, they were f wild! I left the festival earlier because I was kinda scared.

Its also sick and insane how ATRL pick & choose when to have standards (esp towards Black artists).

What happened at ASTROWORLD isn’t 100% his fault - security, Live Nation, and other teams play a role in those fans dying. Lets shame Gaga & Abel for collabing with Ariana after what happened in Manchester.

Damn, with a Beyonce avi too?

edit: I love Bey. I just don't want her to catch any cross fire.

I mean he was always trash but bringing beyonce and the weeknd into this is too much

Remember when Taylor dated the nazi a month ago? remember when Rih made a song with Chris after the incident? Remember when Gaga worked with multiple rapists and pedophiles?

Yeah no one cared about that either

Why do you Brit Spears stans never mention your fave who worked with the same "rapists and pedophiles" as Gaga: R Kelly (even defended work with him on national TV), Terry Richardson, as well as Dr Luke and others that Gaga didn't work with.

Anyway, obviously it's not a good look.

That member has literally called Beyonce a monkey, I've seen the posts myself. Anyway, regardless of that, it's still messy to be on his album.

Because Britney didn't know about R. Kelly being a pedophile then, Gaga knew who he was and worked with him anyways

This is also the exact same experience I had with Tyler The Creator back in 2013, I was out of there and grabbed 2 girls who were suffering with me :deadvision:

...and there's plenty of other acts which also have & promote the energy from there fans. Even Jay encouraged a mosh pit which created a momentary & very uncomfortable crowd surge during On The Run with half the audience being Hunties & women :rip:... The fact that this same behaviour at Astroworld turned into a way more catastrophic incident doesn't make Travis' much worse than these other people. That whole culture ought to be challenged after that experience but I don't think we should retroactively cancel people because they participated or encouraged rowdiness in their crowds.

And I think people are niave if they thought he actually knew the extent to what was going wrong. Reading the events, he stopped the gig a few times when he could see someone wasn't concious but the calls for help were probably all mixed in with the other crazy fans were still pushing/climbing & trying force their way to front and cause general mayhem, which again was normal for his audience... These things shouldn't be determined by an artist's fickle judgement. Travis probably thought it was the greatest audience he ever had...

"music too loud for radio traffic to be heard and a crowd that did not care about those around them."

"One fan who was 40 feet (12 m) from the stage told Dallas ABC affiliate WFAA-TV that when he complained to a staff member, he was told, "It's a mosh pit, what do you expect?"

"One concertgoer claimed on Twitter that security responded to his pleas for help by saying that they could not do anything to stop the show as the concert was streaming live."

I wouldn't even defend him from this "Garbage" label... I don't know him like that, but people gotta stop being reductive with topics just because it makes them feel better, it's actually a disrespect to the victims.

To answer the OP for the final time. Lots of people have a negative perception of Travis, but the "garbage"-ness they perceive of him doesn't correlate with intentional malice, just as people don't see RnB artist Brandy as a murderer despite her causing death through a car crash.
