So I played 3 hours and so far I’m enjoying it a lot. PC performance is tough when in open spaces (New Atlantis), bringing it down to 40fps and less. Can’t wait for my new PC to arrive :coffee2:

I'm on a RTX 3080, 1440p ultra and it really dips in any populated spaces

The way Im watching one of my favorite Australian Gaymers stream this game on twitch and when he made his character he went RIGHT to the lightest skin color and didnt even bother to look at the other skin colors. He really said NO to melanin. :deadbanana2:

sad. The character creator is amazing and incredibly customizable. I easily spent 1 hour if not more lol

I'm 5 hours in and I'm enjoying it! Definitely starting to notice some bugs now though. Performance is mostly acceptable. There are a few specific areas where it dips.

Not managed to get into the crafting and resources side yet. I'm finding the space combat challenging to be honest.

it's weird cause at first it's veeery tough but after a few encounters and combats I find it very fun and easier, also really like the communications and boarding with the other spacecrafts

I need to figure out how to board them, I always end up destroying the ship. Can you steal the ship and then sell it?

Yep, you need to target the engines (there's a skill for that) and then board it, kill everyone inside and then you can steal the ship, you'll have to register it before you sell it though (I think it costs credits)

I need to stop spending 2 hours in every location picking everything up, I'm 15 hours in and have only completed 2 mains quests :skull: I'm a hoarder

Yall know how to delete an outpost? I started one by mistake, I put like the first element (idk what’s the name in English I’m playing in Spanish, which is “baliza”) cause I was running away from some crazy dinosaur type creature that could throw some kinda laser from its mouth and idk what control I pressed lmaoo

mess. Thanks!

I’m enjoying this a loooooooot 😭 and I haven’t even started yet bulding outposts, buying/taking other ships etc. Thing is I couldn’t make a big amount of credits yet, I find it quite difficult.

Also I HATE the damn UC. I really can’t stand their imperialist ass nnn.

Same I’ve just joined constellation and haven’t even spoken to Sarah yet. :skull:

I’m currently hoarding all the different books you can find and trying to place them in my house (dream home trait), but the object placement feature is garbage and won’t let me put them close together on a shelf. I literally spent an hour trying to get it to work and gave up in the end, hopefully they fix it with a patch. :rip:

omg please I need help :deadbanana4:

idk if it's a bug or if there's something wrong with my save but suddenly I CAN'T SHOOT :rip: neither with controller nor pc mouse. The character makes the gun animation when I'm in first person pov and I press shoot, but it's not shooting ****. I tried restarting the game and still not working. Does any of you know how to fix that? Is there any way? Or do I really have to start the game again :rip:

Have you tried reverting to a save where they were able to shoot? You might lose some progress but I guess it’s better than having to restart.

I’ve seen a lot of people talk about how disappointed they are with this game.

Honestly… I think it’s people who were expecting three games in one and features that were never teased. I think it’s ******* great. It’s a nice third pillar to Fallout and the Elder Scrolls, and it feels exactly how I wanted it to.

I’m on my second character because I felt like I made some mistakes with how I approached certain choices the first time around and I hadn’t gotten too far, so restarting has been helpful to level my head a bit. Unfortunately, I fell in love with a ship I want to buy because of its massive cargo bay… and it’s 250k+ credits. :skull: I think it’ll take a real-life week to get that thing.

Anyway... I didn't like much besides the character creator :gaycat6:

I just started the Crimson Fleet faction questline and I need Todd Howard on the phone so I can explain to him the importance of giving me a Delgado romance option in a DLC:jonny6:

So I got this to run at high settings at 1080p, that'll suffice. :rip:

What backgrounds + traits did y'all choose? I'm a Bounty hunter with Extrovert, Wanted, and Empath. Not sure if I should be something else but I took hours making my character hot. :biblio:

I picked Bounty Hunter, Wanted, Introvert, Taskmaster :bird:

I wanted to be a bit of a loner and explore desolate planets completely alone, but hire good people to ensure my ship was resilient, and the automatic healing of systems thanks to Taskmaster has been really valuable. Also spent way too long making the character hot - and I play almost exclusively in first person so it did nothing for me :skull:

Are you enjoying bounty hunter? I don’t have an impression of it since I’m only 5 hours in and half of it was in character creation. :rip:

Actually yes! I think the skills it provides at the outset are very useful, especially because two of the three help with ship combat, which I’m not very good at. Wanted adds some interesting flavor, because even though you yourself are a bounty hunter, you’ll get other bounty hunters coming after you. Plus, people do reference your background throughout, so that’s a nice touch. But I do have one warning - wanted makes some parts of exploring very difficult at first if you aren’t careful. Or at least it was difficult for me :toofunny3:

The quests system is so weird

There is no reason for it to be this confusing :skull:
