Bussea Posted March 27, 2023 Posted March 27, 2023 ******* kids bro… what a ******* miserable and nasty coward.
Frozen99 Posted March 27, 2023 Posted March 27, 2023 "but banning drag shows will help the society" ... tragic .. poor babies, condolences to the families.

Kummercell Posted March 27, 2023 Posted March 27, 2023 I don't think I've ever heard of a female mass shooter. I wonder what happened.
Hephaestus Posted March 27, 2023 Posted March 27, 2023 B-b-but drag queens/trans individuals!1!1!! These are the f*cked up priorities of the US. Children are getting killed in their schools but LGBTQ+ people are the enemies. That should tell everyone everything they need to know about all these fear mongering campaigns. Children are not dying because of drag story hours or because trans people simply exist, they're dying because of the f*cking gun laws that don't get passed. My heart goes to the victims and their families. They truly don't deserve this.
byzantium Posted March 27, 2023 Posted March 27, 2023 The fact that I am so desensitized to these headlines makes me really sad. When I got the notification on my phone I was almost a little annoyed because things like this are so routine at this point. I’m just so tired of this constantly happening. We shouldn’t live in a country where you have to numb yourself to tragedy as a coping mechanism to stay sane and get through life.
Beyonnaise Posted March 27, 2023 Posted March 27, 2023 I've already seen conservative influencers on Twitter claiming the shooter is bitter about Roe v. Wade being overturned and is taking it out on Christian children, it's so gross how they immediately twist the available facts of any tragedy to fit their preferred narrative when we literally know next to nothing yet

Just overall sad where the country seems to be heading to. can we not include stan wars crap in this thread? 1 hour ago, Bears01 said: Bringing up Taylor Swift and Morgan Wallen in such a serious thread. Some of y’all really are addicted to Stan wars and it’s not okay. OT: updating the thread title 1 hour ago, WeFoundTrouble said: What the **** is your problem. This is no time or place for stan wars, neither of those artists (or even the war on Drag Queens right now in conservative states) has anything to do with innocent children being killed by lackadaisical gun laws. Youre a sick freak. Children dying SHOULD be a wake up call and yet, sadly as American history has proven, it won’t be. It has nothing do with stan wars I'm living in Tennessee currently for an internship. My comment was very much an observation about the people here, what they stand for, what they care about and as to why this event will bypass the populations thoughts by tomorrow. Very simple for even the simple-minded. But you thought. Edited March 27, 2023 by Afterglow
Velvet Night Posted March 27, 2023 Posted March 27, 2023 And nothing will change, again. Rest in peace to the victims

Well according to Senator Johnson: "This bill gives confidence to parents that they can take their kids to a public or private show and will not be blindsided by a sexualized performance." Well kids can't be blindsided anymore if they are gunned down first. RIP to the victims.

There’s people in Tennessee who also listen to Beyonce, Gaga, Rihanna, Eminem, Drake, Jay Z, Kanye, Imagine Dragons, Nicki Minaj, Miley Cyrus, Dolly Parton, Luke Combs. The Beatles, Queen, Madonna, Michael, Whitney, and everyone in between. NONE of the artists these people listen to has ANY bearing on the political stances they choose, and ESPECIALLY not on the absent gun laws that allowed today’s tragedy to occur. Your original comment is moot and in bad taste. Edited March 27, 2023 by WeFoundTrouble
Archetype Posted March 27, 2023 Posted March 27, 2023 RIP to the victims. I'm sure conservative lawmakers will continue to "pray on it" so they can sleep better at night while knowingly doing nothing to stop this from happening over and over again.
Totami Legend Posted March 27, 2023 Posted March 27, 2023 'we need to protect the babies from drag shows!'
GoodGuyGoneGhetto Posted March 27, 2023 Posted March 27, 2023 No surprises here. RIP to the Young Children and may God be with their families.

Your original comment is moot and in bad taste. It doesn't matter who they listen to. The point is where the priorities are in conjunction with what is happening in this state and country. How old are you 12? Do you live in TN? And the bolded part of your comment shows you haven't traveled much and don't know many different types of people, nor have you experienced much. You'll see, and it'll be sad but necessary. You think gun-toutin-Joe is listening to Beyonce and Whitney? Sis....in a state where the N word is commonplace? Come to TN and I'll show you what I mean. Until then, just give your thoughts and prayers. Edited March 27, 2023 by Afterglow
suburbannature Posted March 27, 2023 Posted March 27, 2023 Horrifying and yet just another day in America. How long must we demand change before self-serving politicians listen

I spent 6 months in Nashville while living with an ex. I’m very well traveled throughout the US. I’m very familiar with Tennessee. It was very arrogant of you to claim that I haven’t traveled or experienced different types of people, but I’m going to ignore that because it has no bearing on the main point, which is that people choosing to listen to certain artists quite literally has nothing to do with gun reform. I live in Texas. I know how shitty it is to have people refuse to progress our society all because they’re holding onto traditional views and outdated policies. That doesn’t mean I go around blaming the Houston Rodeo or the CMT Awards for political shortcomings. And for the record, I’m 26. Edited March 27, 2023 by WeFoundTrouble

As someone who doesn’t live in TN, nor are familiar with Tennesse-an culture, aside from what I’ve heard from others, this is a slightly interesting take. Spoiler The Morgan Wallen ref? Yes. Taylor Swift though… Not so much. Edited March 27, 2023 by GoodGuyGoneGhetto
