I was thinking… if she wasn’t afraid of butchering ITWAM for the sake of a narrative, she will definitely leave BTR off the album as well…

I TAKE BACK WHAT I SAID ABOUT ITWAM

You just got put it on repeat so we could forget the stolen past. @Beyonnaise :eli:

The TV is okay! But the OG is a post-punk classic

Do we actually even know how or why she picked him? I'd literally never heard of the man before he was involved in the rerecordings.

I don’t remember which songs but I think he produced some of her earlier country songs… She was probably able to negotiate a cheaper deal with him since he does more local work for artists in Nashville :skull:

Stream Don’t Let Us Get Sick a better SYGB.

Um? The way this random song by a man I've never heard of literally sounds like what I want from her next album / from her in general? :deadbanana2: I guess you made some points!

They should just make an ep with all 4 songs and release it as 2023 so that its first on her page :giraffe:

She may have wanted to avoid possibly allowing it to chart on the BB200 if she did that, though.

It will grow on you, took me two streams and the old is DEAD.

Just know when you stream Taylor’s Version, you’re not funding WARS in Yemen.

I’m so mad at her, I was only listening the original but well… What difference would it make?

Im listening the new version now and it’s weird the feeling of erasing all the memories I created with the original. Every guitar, every riff in the original, I knew like the back of my hand. I never felt any of this from The other re-recordings but for this one… it just feels too personal and I’m scared by it lol

She thinks she’s slick putting covers of fearless and red on the songs when we KNOW these ones are from SNTV :giraffe:

I have a theory that Big Machine has a non-compete or non-solicitation clauses with producers + employees under Big Machine for ex-acts (Taylor) hence Nathan (under Big Machine) not being able to produce these contractually.

This is exactly how I felt about many moments on Red TV. For example, the tone of her voice on the opening note of Holy Ground is jarringly different from the original.

Well the point still stands because it turns out this is a cover of the one I'd found, and I like it even more!

ITWAM TV needs a bigger production in the chorus. It sounds too weak. :monkey: And what is up with Chris Rowe butchering the mixing on her vocals? This is the second time there’s a noticeable glitch in her voice especially at 2:14 “I’ve been waiting for you ever since you’ve been gone.”

How does Taylor not notice these errors??? He literally messed up the first prechorus of Love Story TV too. It is so frustrating!

She sounds like she's struggling on S&S

Did she skip these off steaming? :skull: My AM and Spotify still aren’t showing them but I know they’re on iTunes?

Eyes Open TV proves just how **** Nathan Chapman was/is. :deadbanana2:

It’s not a glitch. She’s saying “every day ever since you’ve been gone”

but yeah, overall the production of the TVs all have some kind of flaw. I don’t blame them, it must be tons of work recreating something in such a short time

doing this will hurt the droplet streams, but will increase the parent albums stream, she such a mastermind :jonny5:

They don't show up as new releases because they're dated to the eras they're "supposed" to be from according to her. If This Was a Movie shows up with the pre-release singles from Fearless TV while Safe & Sound + Eyes Open show up just before the Sad Girl Autumn version of ATW10 and All of the Girls shows up before the Lover remixes.

They’re still there for me. The release dates are 2021 so they’re not showing as new

That is actually wrong, dear. Look up the lyrics. The OG lyrics are on Spotify as well, what I wrote was correct. It is a glitch in the TV.

If we're being honest, though, I feel like a pretty huge part of why some of the rerecordings don't sound quite right is just because of how familiar we are with the original versions. I can't say the differences on songs like Tell Me Why, for example, are bad, and I can't say I would have been anything but fine with it had that been the original, but I can tell you it feels off.

The way She retconned ITWAM's release as part of Fearless so She can make SNTV an entirely self-written album. :bibliahh:

No babe. In the new version she clearly sings every day.

It definitely feels super weird at first but in every instance I've gotten used to it because I let these replace the old versions as my default choice to listen to. I remember being so incredibly jarred by WANEGBT TV but it sounds normal to me now
