Honestly disgusted by the idea of an Alien remake.  

 

If it's just another sequel then fine. The bar truly is in hell so some new blood would be good. Ridley Scott is over.

Don't Breathe and the Evil Dead remake were good and the bar is hell when it comes to Alien movies so as long as it's better than at least Resurrection,Covenant and the AVP films it's a win.

No...he cowrote. He hasn't directed anything since the Girl with the dragon tattoo sequel that bombed ( and the studio heavily interfered with.)

Don't Breathe was pretty decent. Fede Alvarez's Evil Dead remake was just OK but nowhere near as good as Evil Dead Rise. I haven't seen The Girl in the Spider's Web because it looked much worse than David Fincher's The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (which was excellent). 

 

As far as the Alien movies go, Prometheus was pretty good. Alien: Covenant was okay, but not as good. As long as his Alien entry is better than Covenant, I'll be happy, but I'm disappointed Ridley Scott nor Lee Cronin are behind the camera.
