A song breaking records like this usually is someone big's lead single or a single following up another big hit. Even if it were a big comeback after flopping I'd have thought it would gain traction slowly.
ChrisTheLoner Posted January 20, 2023 Posted January 20, 2023 A quality bop from a talented queen SMASHING we LOVE to see it

An easy listening bop for all ages
bad guy Posted January 20, 2023 Posted January 20, 2023 Expecting an SOS level smash for her album now
Trash Posted January 20, 2023 Posted January 20, 2023 Why are these numbers weird? Last Saturday I went to a bar and when it came on everybody lost it, clearly the public is here for it.

Nip Tuck Posted January 20, 2023 Posted January 20, 2023 tbh i didnt think the sing was that great but it grew on me + there’s a lot of tiktok hype around the song w theories abt the lyrics / video so i’m not surprised.
youngpopariana Posted January 20, 2023 Posted January 20, 2023 ''Flowers'' is the driver's license of 2023 in terms of GP's curiosty around the narrative of the song. No wonder why it's breaking records left and right !
channelbangerz Posted January 20, 2023 Posted January 20, 2023 I remember a thread on here asking if she’d ever have a top 10 again. Hope the op is having a bad day <3 Bang Me Box this is for you xx
darkfantasy Posted January 20, 2023 Posted January 20, 2023 Sorry but something here doesn’t add up. I love miley and hope this success is actually organic. But something in this buttermilk isn’t clean . I hope I’m wrong!
Da Vinci Posted January 20, 2023 Posted January 20, 2023 I really don't get why people would expose themselves as out of touch and living under a rock with these conspiracy theories And not just with Flowers, it was funny with DL too

Definitely needs an investigation. Well, she broke Adele’s record, breaking Taylor’s highest as well. It’s okay. You’ll be okay. You don’t need to jump to invalidating a woman’s success. Talent, star power, and proper label support will do this for ya!

I'm not that surprised at Ariana, just the fact that it's 7 rings and not tun or positions. Lol, this site literally crashed when Adele dropped EOM. And not just because of the 503 errors. People can say whatever about Adele here, but the GP RUNS to listen whenever she drops a new lead single. EOM still holds the record for most unfiltered streams in a day, 24m. Mariah snatched the filtered daily record last month, 21.2m. But anyway, OT, Flowers is doing amazingly. We might have the biggest hit of '23 figured out so early. At least one of them.

Im surprised it didnt manage to be one of the fastest to hit 100M. I guess the song had a slower starts but exploded later on It's because Kid Laroi was/is still up and coming. Stay has had crazy longevity. Having Justin Bieber feature in it certainly helped. It's the biggest hit since Blinding Lights. Laroi is dropping a new lead called Love Again next week. Curious to see how that does.

Adele really does get downplayed a lot here. That's probably why I didn't realise how big Easy On Me was. People made it seem like a flop.

But Adele's albums have always been carried by the hits. It's just more apparent now that people don't buy albums anymore. So you can expect Adele's next lead single to be huge again, but the rest of the album not so much, unless she totally switches sound and there's more bops. (but sorry for off-topic again. Great numbers for miley) Edited January 20, 2023 by anti-bitch
