People think aespa is over just because Girls underperformed but every one of these when Illusion plays it gets a huge crowd :deadbanana2: Girls was just a bad title track and I fear the girls who are wanting aespa to completely fail are delulu

more people came up to dance to Stamp On It and Hush Rush than to Moonlight Sunrise :bibliahh:they are truly over in Korea

biggest gg things

also this is quite interesting, aespa is obviously far from being done, people are here for them - SM get your **** together

the moment Hype Boy, Ditto and OMG started playing, multigenerational smashes:jonny: also IVE and GIdle songs, Antifragile! show that to Mel now!

and quite a lot people came up when DICE played! and I’m shocked at BIBI Vengeance too

the way SM stopped caring about them like snsd because they got "old" and shifted their focus onto aespa while JYP still sees untapped WW potential in twice bc theyre not ageist :clap3:

Tea - which is obvs a drag towards SM and not the queens of SNSD :clap3:

We have Twice until at least 2025 - and even if korea dropped them as a chart topper single-wise, the fact their worldwide presence is growing as we speak makes you wonder what could have been for SNSD had they not dropped them like a sack of potatoes. :ducky:

I truly don’t know if he’s purposely being obtuse or genuinely doesn’t understand the difference :dies: Anyway miss fauxtography needs to chill and not call people psychopaths to their face

Korea is really not JYP’s priority anymore and that’s really smart because we can see the power of their global fanbase more and more today.:clap3:

im going to cope and say its because MLSR was a US pre-release, and this video was posted two weeks ago so they only had like 4 weeks to learn the choreo...

kiiii kinda funny how they are already taking a page out of the "MAGA" playbook with making their official stance lies, so when twice still does better than last time in the US they can say its underwhelming.

The point of K-pop is to have global appeal. Korean promo is not just meant to promote to the Korean public or else it wouldn’t be uploaded to global YouTube. Plenty of groups don’t bring in much money from domestic digitals - only 1/3 of 4th gen girl groups have even charted and I don’t believe any fourth gen boy group has even hit 1B digital points. But those groups are all still active and actively promoting because they make their money from touring, event promotions, appearances, sponsorships, endorsements, album sales and global streaming.

Circle themselves are the ones who certify streams when a song hits about 600M digital points. Using simple logic, we can see that 600M digital points is equivalent to 100M streams. Of course, we know that 100M streams can bring in different levels of revenue on different services, but 600 million won is only about $450k. That’s good extra revenue, but it’s not making up a significant portion of costs, especially after royalties are paid out.

Here’s a good example for ITZY and Aespa. Both ITZY and Aespa have less than 3B digital points (meaning they’ve made less than $2.276M from years of promotions and title tracks). ITZY have sold 3.7M Korean physicals (equivalent to $37M) and Aespa have sold 2.6M (equivalent to $26M). ITZY have made $2.3M+ from just five reported shows on their tour. Clearly you can see that domestic digitals are nice to have on top of everything, but they don’t amount to much. Even when T-ARA were digital queens at the peak of digital sales, they weren’t making money from digitals.

okay but how does that have to do with jyp bombarding melon subscribers with text messages about twice’s comeback only for them to be OUT of melon?? that’s sorta pathetic and low :rip:
