we all left, unstanned or don't talk about them anymore cause people only ever drag them in here and don't like to acknowledge their amazing discography pre-jaden (and the many bops after he left too) :gaycat3:

it's sad cause LOONA has some of the best music in kpop

They kinda peaked at pre-debut cause this is the trinity out of their whole discography

I forgot to add miss Yves earlier aka Sulli's daughter :msmarvel:

What exactly do you believe to be Jisoo's talents?

her singing tone is my favorite and I believe she has a talent which could be shown better if given more lines and training

+ she was a good actress in Snowdrop and I think she's talented in it which could be shown better if given more roles

but of course since you're just a hater you won't even bother reading that and keep making your silly little drags

I think they did but their first 2 post-debut minis are still amazing and they still had some 10/10 songs bsides after that here and there, also 12:00 slaps all the way through  but Love Cherry Motion > Egoist

Apparently some SM idols are contacting other agencies

YES YES YES!! This is the only correct answer. The way the thread COLLAPSED when GODclipse was released...good times.

Everything after that was kind of a mess :(

why are you guys acting like Vogue France is US Vogue September issue or something :rip:

It’s literally a part of the BIG4 :rip:

Pls, how many of yall bragging about Vogue France cover can even recall 5 covers :deadbanana4:

Good for ha, but she's not some global icon because of it wtf :deadbanana2: Hailey Baldwin/Bieber has covered Vogue France multiple times and she's... that.

Who cares about her. Hailey is a model that’s hee job. Only 3 female artists covered vogue France. :cm:

ofc the bitter 2ne1 stan is bitter avoue Blackpink world domination.

Hailey Bieber is not a global icon. Nor is she even a local icon

Also I didn’t actually mention Jisoo’s Vogue cover but it’s actually stunning & I think one of the best if not thee best cover I’ve seen with a Korean singer. She pulls a fringe and long hair so well  :smitten:

Just like the third gen destroyed the second gen commercially as K-Pop rose in global popularity, fourth gen is stomping third gen. BlackPink are no exception.

BlackPink - 5,736,061 Korea + 222,109 Japan (6 years & 6 months)

Aespa - 2,588,049 (2 years & 3 months)

IVE - 2,989,375 Korea + 109,605 Japan (1 year & 2 months)

LE SSERAFIM - 1,416,226 Korean + 256,930 Japan (9 months)

NewJeans - 2,214,731 (7 months)

Why are you comparing the years instead of the number of physical releases ?????

You're wasting your time even copy pasting the numbers for people who believe Jisoo is the gold standard of talent. :rip:

It’s true but you shouldn’t say it :lmao:

We are still using album sales as a metric even rv sell million albums when back then they couldn’t crack 200k sales let’s be serious :rip:These GG still can’t book KSPO dome.

Red Velvet had a massive surge in popularity in China and finally had their label invest in their physicals, which is why “even Red Velvet” can sell millions of albums.

I’m not denying that BlackPink is huge - I’m just pointing out that using BlackPink to put down a second Gen group (2NE1) is stupid. Because with the growth in the market and the increased globalization of K-pop, you can see that every generation has extreme growth, evidenced by how we have four fourth Gen groups outpacing any third Gen groups.

1 hour ago, Pluto2022 said:

The rise of album sales in Kpop is not a 4th gen thing but a Kpop thing in general. Every popular Kpop act has seen growth in album sales which includes 3rd gen as well. TWICE, BP and RV all became million sellers during 4th gen and not before.

BP are also still outselling every gg including 4th gen whenever YG let's them out of the dungeon. They are far from their peak and will continue to dominate.

That correlates to my point. We just constantly see third Gen stans coming after the second Gen in terms of success when their faves have the second Gen to thank for that increased globalization and advances in the market.

BlackPink can outsell everyone because their fans have two years to fundraise. Yes they’re massive, but most groups will end up outselling them just because they release regularly.

for some reason Teddy Bear smashing just feels WAY more organic than most gg smashes recently...

like you know the korean kiddies are nonstop spamming this song and forcing their parents to give in to the BEP crack and start replaying it themselves

a month definitely isn’t long enough unless they’re only doing a small handful of shows (or this is the first leg but knowing SM… my hopes aren’t too high) :chick3:

let me be potentially grateful regardless

Well, they'll be underestimated by the current SM management as always. Just like they did with the Redmare "world" tour. :doc:

But it's something at least. Maybe they'll do 1 or 2 dates in Korea, some in Japan and then a handful in the Americas and finish in Europe. A month would probably cover that, though they are capable of much more.

I just noticed that only 14-15 of BTS' top tracks would still make them the most streamed K-Pop artist on Spotify :deadbanana2: I mean they are top 10 for most streamed artists ever but I didn't even realize the gap was that big :rip:

I know one day most of their records will be broken :chick3: but I feel like 4th gen is a bit too early for groups to surpass BTS or BP. I just don't see current groups doing sth like this but who knows.

What kind of WACK ass world tour. I’m crying I thought the point of all these festivals was to test the waters for a festival. 1 month cannot cover multiple dates in Asia besides Japan + Korea. I really hope that they haven’t made fans wait about 4 years for something as underwhelming as that.

I don’t even want to imagine it but they’re closing in on 10 years and I honestly doubt there’s many tours ahead of them after this one so I thought they’d go all out :mazen:

Yes and no, BTS is fraudulently putting solo songs on BTS Spotify page
