SM can be a loser company in a lot of aspects but one thing they do well in is utilizing and developing their vocalists properly. JeonGOD would have thrived vocally there I fear.

She’s already the official “lead vocalist” in Twice on paper, but even sub vocalist like Mina who doesn’t even possess half of Jeongyeon’s range gets to sing more. Make it make sense.

That’s the only reason they put her in the last choruses, just because she is the only one with a strong enough voice to not get drowned out in the screamfest between the other two

As she deserves! Honestly I like how gradual and not-rushed her recovery process after the hiatus has been. Props to the company for letting her take her time and do it in a healthy way tbh. She’s also on medication so it feels good that they’re putting her health on priority. Now give the queen the lines and screentime she deserves.

I think the artists will probably be salty though. 

 

SM entertainment artists are trained to have a lot of pride in SM being the 'biggest and best kpop company'.

 

And I know when BTS was rising, there was tons of competition between the companies AND the artists.

 

SM tried so hard to push NCT in America after BTS starting popping off. Don't get me started on the power tripping at award shows and end of year gayos.

 

This is really gonna crush SM artists' pride.

Y’all do realize that SM has been hitting historic highs year-after-year for four years now, right? They’re not being acquired because they’re failing - quite the opposite.

HYBE saw that and did the exact opposite of both: non girl crush group and lowkey (but surely ) US promotions

Yeah SM's hubris and delusion is what led to them being destroyed and eaten by their biggest competitor.

 

But who knows what will happen in the future. What we do know is that SM will never be the same again.

the only acts disbanded from Source and Pledis since Hybe got involved are GFriend and NU'EST who were both on their way out anyway

And why would a business keep around an act that isn't profitable, anyway?

 

HYBE & SM & YG & JYP and every other business are here to make money, not lose money by investing it into projects that don't turn a profit
