no shade to anyone but Pluto2022 talking made me think about it a bit. The obsession some new K-pop/4th gen stans have with line distributions is sort of stupid. if you're labelled as the rapper of the group, you should have less lines than say a main/lead vocalist and stans need to stop crying about it. also, if your singing voice is not all that (to keep it cute), don't expect to be leading line distributions and getting the most lines in a group. vocalists in K-pop exist for a reason, that's just how it should be.

 

for example, TWICE (group I love and stan), Dahyun and Momo shouldn't lead any line distributions unless a song is designed and shaped mainly to them and contains lots of rapping and/or spoken lines. it doesn't mean that they are not essential to the group, they are, of course, and TWICE wouldn't be the same without them but the lines they get are the lines they deserve. and again, stans simply need to stop crying about it. 

 

although I guess I agree overall with the sentiment of how ridiculous some TTs' lines are centered around the members popularity moreso than the talent and their positions within a group.

It depends on the group and/or the song. 

For example, Stray Kids is a hip-hop/rap-heavy group. For me It's totally understandable when most times Han and Changbin have more lines than the vocalists.

I mean when youre Han Jisung and you can rap AND sing beautifully, why shouldn't you have the most lines? 

 

On the other hand I'm perfectly fine hearing as little of Changbin's angry yelling as possible
