aespa and skz/txt aren't comparable acts and have massively different fanbases and discography lengths. I just think the infighting about these two bgs is getting a bit absurd. Both are headlining the same festival in different continents, both are doing stadium dates at the same venues in the US, both have similar album stats, both lack a single charting entry on the US Hot 100 despite selling hundreds of thousands of albums. Until one has a clear breakout ahead of the other that's significant enough to warrant the constant fighting its giving sones vs. blackjacks in the modern day.

But that's exactly what make the stan wars fun. When someone is far ahead in all existent metrics, there's nothing to discuss

And I prefer to discuss numbers in a fair debate than be hateful and mean to groups for no reason

Actually, It does. You were answering to Pluto's post mentioning Stray Kids outstreamed TXT on US this year and how they are still charting in Artists Category saying they only did due their full-length released.

But It isn't true. They outstreamed TXT on US even prior their full-length release with data from January to late May.

mind you txt have been payola'd to death since their debut in 2019, including radio promoted singles, tv performances, festival performances and a recent collab with jonas brothers. all that and skz still stomp, the little texters always ignore this fact

In my humble opinion the market of kpop is literally so huge now that all of our big faves are popular to some extent with the kpop fans outside of Korea. Even though Surely  the general public don't know anyone besides BTS or blackpink they don't need to because this growing  kpop fanbase is including tweens and teens all across continents. Many fans are also multis and attend concerts and shows of any major kpop act that visits them.  So we can fight all we want over who is bigger between Skz or TXT or enhypen....or aespa or Lsrflm or Ive or new jeans or itzy... when a large portion of people attending their concerts (atleast outside of Korea) is overlapping. The average kpop obsessed teen is not as die-hard about fandom loyalty as chronically online atrl/twitter users. :coffee2:

Sometimes I wonder how Stray Kids got such a big fandom on US with shitty promotions there. They only had one TV show performance as promotion early this year. And before that, their last promotion was in early 2020.

Even their playlisting game is very niche/weak and they neither do collaborations with american artists, nor release english singles.

This post reeks of projecting your own insecurities onto some harmless little girl music.

Not just that, it seems for a group of users, their whole sphere of consciousness in this thread revolves around aespa and trying to discredit everything those girls do.

Even when the topic isn't about them, somehow it keeps on coming back to aespa every time. The mental gymnastics required seems exhausting. Glad it ain't me!

It really just comes down to the fact some users just can't say "good for aespa" and move on. It always has to be some undermining or some random shade they read from 2 years ago. Not to be dramatic but aespa could cure cancer and some users would say some another 4th gen girlgroup could cure cancer and then end world hunger while they're at it.

Certain users have been saying aespa is over since they joined the website and their sales, streams, and concert attendance only get bigger every day. It's time to give it up

For a flop and fads like Aespa as they said. They sure are the first group they'll bring up with measuring and comparing success. Never IVE, GIDLE or Lesserrafim aka the groups who are part of KTRL's trinity or whatever :foxaylove2:

And to that GIDLE Stan who was trying it. Thirsty was released before Allergic :cm:

Both are fandom driving, so obviously If you release more songs, the average streaming number per song can be affected during release day, as the fandom has more stuff to divide attention.

In the long run we see who stomp on who:

S-Class surpassing 70,000,000 streams on Spotify: 56 days

Sugar Rush Ride surpassing 70,000,000 streams on Spotify: 91 days

And on Spotify US Artists only one group is still charting.
