I feel like Taeil should get a solo before enlistment, but I lowkey don't think he's popular enough to sell a whole mini album. 

 

If SM was smart they'd give Taeyong, Ten and Renjun a solo. All three units satisfied. 

 

mark is definitely the dream member getting a solo first then haechan. i honestly fear that taeil will just get a nct lab station song and no mini before he enlists or not even get a solo at all until after he gets discharged like some exo members.

Post IOI failed by stuffing all these mega successful idols into 9+ member groups and not letting the actual popular members shine in favour of promoting the unknown ones. 

 

Post W1 failed by making everyone a solo act, when a lot of them didn’t have the range or the star power to hold as a solo

 

Post IZ* found the perfect balance. Let the members debut in small groups but let them shine as the “centres” and promote them.

Maybe Jeno will snatch the second solo in DREAM, SM is pushing him really hard lately.
