What are your favorite SNSD's Japanese songs?

Asking a sone that is like asking to pick a favorite child. Almost all of them. :gayriahcat2:

1st Japan album is well over 1m with a Million certification in Japan. When it was certified, RIAJ only counted physicals. The real total sales is much higher because SNSD peaked at the peak of digital sales.

I double checked Twice and for some reason I thought Fancy sold 1m. I was wrong. :gaycat6:

So SNSD's physical album didn't actually sell 1 million? And why would you think Fancy You sold 1 million when they weren't selling half that amount before that.

Idol

IU isn’t an Idol lol

idk I’d say she’s closer to one than not. she started as one and has transitioned somewhat, but she still does the classic idol things when she wants

SNSD sold 1m+ physical copies of their first Japanese album and this as been certified by authorities. They also moved a monstrous amount of digitals back in those days on top of that million.

As for Twice, it’s well over half a mil and I must have assumed they had a million seller because their career totals are so much more impressive than Stink’s.

It’s the same as Hanteo vs Gaon.

As long as you’re using:

Gaon vs RIAJ

Oricon vs Hanteo

not

Oricon vs Gaon

so if you’re saying BP is first to sell 1M based on Gaon but using oricon instead of RIAJ for Japan then it’s apples and oranges. Gaon counts shipments and not actual albums sold

Again it’s million certified. This number is inaccurate.

The number is accurate. Oricon is actual sales.

RIAJ certifies based on total shipments sold to retailers, the same as Circle in Korea. SM sold a million copies of the album to Japanese stores, but the Oricon number is what the Japanese stores sold to actual customers in Japan.

It's a huge achievement whichever way it's looked at, especially as Japan was much more closed to Korean media at that time.

With BP being so involved with Baby Monsters debut and lowkey co creating them I can see YG pulling this again :bird:

Such and iconic moment for them considering the sales for kpop groups back then tho. :jonny5:

One of their best albums too.

This was an album. They really got it down from the concept, the pictures, the sound direction and probably the best album to date.

I wonder if YG is pissed at Twice getting stadiums in US before BP :bibliahh: that company deserves it for the years of mismanagement

watch him announce the encore in May/June next week :dies: but I actually think they will reveal it after Coachella

I like how they capitalized "HISTORY" for a stadium that's been open for less that 3 years.  With two of those years under health restrictions enforced by the people's republic of California.
