Also, her debut in Nigeria means that the song has now entered every single possible chart on Spotify, a true global smash :clap3:

I don’t follow the US charts that much and I don’t know how radio works over there, can someone put this in to context for me?

My only complaint is that there's no modern twist in the production unlike all the other throwback songs (even Love You Like A Love Song had that womp womp sound :dies:)

Even the sound quality, it literally just sounds like it was recorded in the 70s :skull:

That brief echo effect right before the 1st & 2nd chorus is enough for me. The analog production on this song screams timeless classic :bam:

Well now that the debut week is over and rolling day is behind us, it's gonna grow steadily to the top of pop radio like any other pop hit.

Looking at the juggernaut the song is on any other platform, I don't see it slowing down any time soon between now and when it tops the radio chart.

I think it's at 31-33M on overall radio which low to really hold on to the Hot 100 #1 but she has streaming to overcompensate until radio catches on.

How many weeks do we think she can last on top of the BB100?

If streaming remains steady, 4 weeks minimum. Then radio could carry it to the album release and more (8+ weeks)

Honestly at this point only Miley herself or a bigger juggernaut song could sabotage her long run at #1

She’s on pace to achieve anywhere between 100 - 115 million filtered streams across a 7 day period, during the song’s second week.

She needs to achieve an average of 12.8M daily filtered streams over the next 5 days to achieve a minimum of 100 million streams. Current daily average (since release) is 14.6M per day. She could continue to decrease by -1 million streams per day every day for the next 5 days and still do 100 million filtered streams this week.

She is looking at possibly hitting 200 million filtered streams after approx 15~ days which would also be a record, I believe.

Any chance this indicates a potential new daily peak next week?

That’ll be a big ask. We’ll have a better idea after the next couple of updates. I’m expecting streams to drop down to around 15 million over the next few days before rebounding again slightly towards the end of the week.

She’ll need to rebound in all markets where she declined with today’s update and increase at a higher % rate in Asia to reach a new peak. It’s not impossible, but I don’t think it’ll happen… 18.4M is still an incredible peak though.

Basically this is very good lol. The song had an enormous debut week on radio. So, after the first week, radio updates are measured based on gains / losses vs the same day last week. That’s why it’s called the rolling effect. So normally with a big debut or radio deal, the song has a huge first week, so the song might get negative updates the second week. This update is saying the song had 20 million audience last Saturday, but yesterday it had 21.4 hence the +1.5 million update. It means despite such a huge radio start, it’s still increasing.

Between radio and streaming, this song is gonna be #1 forever until another new song comes in and smashes :jonny2:

I hope this puts an end to people who still think this is all because of “AuToPlAy” lol. It’s proof that people are actively searching for the term Flowers, so people are actively searching to find and listen to Miley’s song.

I don’t think we’re going to get much between now and the album release week, lol. Maybe one performance if we’re lucky?

Hoping for a Grammys performance and some interviews, maybe more album teasers :jonny:

Miley has been noticeably quiet on social media this year, makes me feel like she's not going to be super present yet until the album is out
