Gangbaby Posted October 25, 2022 Posted October 25, 2022 (edited) I don’t get this nonsense comparing female artists…every artist has a different appeal to the the public…and depends on the album material also…you can’t compare Taylor to Gaga for example…different audience, different material…both extremely successful and respected in the industry. I’m always excited when Taylor drops…working in the industry we all want to see how her amazing management handle things every time…her team is the best! They hit the market with the best possible way securing Taylor the success she wants for her babies…those saying how many clocks have been sold as it’s a shade…sis let’s wish our faves management could think anything like it…Taylor is at her top of her game because she’s serving good material, she’s stable as an artist, she keeps her fans feed…The album is good, I could use 2-3 Max Martin productions to give it a bit more energy but still very good album, you can hear it full like a radio show on a chill afternoon kinda… I need to see the tour dates, she will destroy it! oh and she better make LAVENDER HAZE a single Edited October 25, 2022 by Gangbaby
brainmaniac Posted October 25, 2022 Posted October 25, 2022 I knew Midnights would cross 1 Million units easily from the momentum of Folklore and Red TV, but I hope she can cross 1 Million in pure sales too It’s so close and hope it doesn’t fall just short.

It will. Billboard reported it has sold 955k pure the first 3 days Quote According to initial reports to Luminate, the album, which was released on Oct. 21, has earned more than 1.2 million equivalent album units in the U.S. through its first three days of release (through Oct. 23). Of that sum, traditional album sales comprise more than 955,000 across all available formats (multiple digital album download, CD, vinyl and cassette variants). She will obviously sell more than 50k the other 4 days
Death & Decay Posted October 25, 2022 Posted October 25, 2022 Insane. Can Taylor Swift ever be stopped?
Taylor Sniffs Posted October 25, 2022 Posted October 25, 2022 How will Midnights fare at the IFPI top albums list? Can it beat Un Verano Sin Ti, Proof, and Born Pink?

I'm thinking she can make it to 450k SEA. Negligible TEA to round off either of those if she misses the mark by a few thousand. Boom, 1.5m. 1.6m seems like a little bit of a stretch. I don't think it's that much of a stretch considering CLB did ~600k from streaming if I'm not mistaken and she's outdoing drake on spotify. I guess it will come down to AM
Pleeny Posted October 25, 2022 Posted October 25, 2022 I'll be in the US next week purchasing some physical copies to help my girl on her second week
Robert Posted October 25, 2022 Posted October 25, 2022 The fact she might out perform 1989 opening week in 2022 is insane. She really has conquered the industry in a way no one before her has done.
legendofthetour Posted October 25, 2022 Posted October 25, 2022 I’m not even a Taylor stan but I must give credit where credit is due, these are insane numbers Curious about the second week drop tho, I hope she doesn’t block Drake and Savage ?
Mr. Duff Posted October 25, 2022 Posted October 25, 2022 How is this possible? She's almost going to double my 800k prediction Insane. And in 2022. Where physicals are at their worst. Come on. She's just a legend by now. NO ONE CAN DO THIS. Only THE TAYLOR SWIFT. I'm excited about second week drop now. If she blocks Drake

mariahcarey Posted October 25, 2022 Posted October 25, 2022 (edited) I don't get how this has happened. It wasn't even anticipated coz she's released so much recently. Good for her though. Edited October 25, 2022 by mariahcarey
chiliam Posted October 25, 2022 Posted October 25, 2022 The craziest thing is she did it 5 times. Like other wish they have even 1 million selling debut week. The closest anyone ever did is 2 times. And she is just casually doing that 5 times. That is batshit crazy.

I would
Bindi Posted October 25, 2022 Posted October 25, 2022 I cannot believe it's really happening She truly is the Music Industry
