Have you listened yet sis, we need to know your trinity :jonny:

Yes I have, (I did today for the first time and I got rceipts https://www.last.fm/user/iAvrilFan1) but I cannot rank correctly until I listen to it a few more times + read lyrics to see which topics I relate to the most

but one thing is for certain, the song "now I'm all for you like Janet" is definitely Top 3

1989 / Oops numbers

I remember all the discussion on Atrl around Red - 1989 release whether she'd manage to beat Oops. If she does it now, 8 years later :gaycat6:

Why you all acting like it’s a surprise lol

She has more than 20 versions of this Album for sell now, and she has always been very strong for her first week numbers.

It's called demand. Not that I would expect you to know what that means given who your avi is but I digress.

Besides...

efflictim no Twitter: "Lady Gaga bundles. Wow. Just wow. https://t.co/idgNNgavBH" / Twitter

Ro on Twitter: "What #Chromatica merch have you purchased from @ladygaga's webstore? Share below. ? All items come with a digital copy of the album! ➡️ https://t.co/JzPnvSkw22 https://t.co/3sHc9rfkYs" / Twitter

It's no surprise.. she's basically the female BTS

HUGE fanbase that will buy all of 20+ versions including those with cat hairs or additional fart recording and will leave their 10+ devices with 10+ accounts open streaming Taylor on-loop..

gotta love Swifties dedication tbh :clap3: , how i wish my fave have those kind of support from her fanbase..

the real challenge for Ms.SWIFT is how to create an organic record that reaches people beyond the bubble.. but sadly she didnt get that the past 5years

This is not the take you think it is!

I remember when 1989 came out being slightly disappointed that she came so close to beating Oops numbers and thinking later on that it would be impossible to ever do it...and now she's potentially doing it in 2022 :ghostface:I don't know how she keeps on getting even bigger. Without a doubt the artist of this generation

And it's not a follow up to her biggest album, Midnights also has less versions than folklore and just as many CD variants as Lover but upstaging it by a huge 300-400k :deadbanana2:

I don't think it's Taylor or the Swifties who are inside a bubble :cupid:

Yes and no. 1989 had five pop radio #1 hits back when radio was still huge. So the music from 1989 will always be more famous and known. You may not choose to consume a song that comes on at a bar or a party or on the radio in a taxi, but you’re still experiencing the he music.

Radio is still huge

I can't find any official HDD source saying 1.1m. I'm assuming that originated as a typo somewhere - the only official projection so far is 1m to 1.2m.

Dear Klein, do you honestly sit here and want me to believe that this woman, who hasn’t had a real hit since 2017, to not be pushed solely by her large fanbase? Do you really honestly think that if I went out on the street in the ten biggest music markets today and asked random Jane & John Doe’s if they know any recent Taylor Swift songs, that atleast 80 % of them would?

See this is the thing with Swifties… you can only argue with cold hard numbers to a degree.. you need to take off your stan glasses sometimes and OBSERVE. You know what I observe? That Taylor is indeed very popular. That people do know her name. But many people for the life of them can’t name any of her recent songs post-1989 (the last time she actually had global domination).

Keep hanging on to those first week and recurrent streaming numbers. Keep doing it if it helps you sleep better at night. I’m sure your life would fall apart if they weren’t present considering yall love to live vicariously through her.

Not nearly as much, back then the #1 song had over 200M audience impressions, now the #1 song only has 91M.

Yes because moving jockstraps and non-existent tour bundles as well as vinyls that didn't ship first week but had digital download included in the transaction is more organic right:rip:

This broke the record for the largest daily unique listeners of any act ever on Spotify with 18M unique listeners

So are people really going to argue she has EIGHTEEN MILLION stans? That's a whole country worth of stans if so

Like what will it take for people to admit that the general public is actually interested in her and checking out the album? The BTS comparisons are totally ridiculous; they've NEVER approached this kind of dominance in streaming or sales for that matter either outside of South Korea. Streaming represents the public, there are literally eighteen million people across the world who checked out her album and that was only on Friday. How many more unique listeners will she get across the entire week? It could be well over 50M people in total that decide to listen to her album. No act has that many hardcore stans. Period.

No one said that was organic lol. Taylor could easily have an organically successful album without the 20+ bundles but she loves money too much and her fans are too gullible to realize they’re being exploited. Her opening with  330k with Evermore (still a great number) really shook her and she’ll never do another organic drop like that.

The bundles and versions, the apple and Spotify payola, the paid reviews… all paid off. I wonder if she’ll break her own first week record.

Stans aren’t the only people who listened; I don’t think anyone is denying that. Every big release has non fans who tune in to listen to see what everyone is talking about. The fact of the matter is that EVERY SINGLE POPSTAR is fueled by their fans and mainly their fans. The GP does not care about pop stars unless they have a big hit on the radio or they’re touring in their city. This is common sense.

And tbh, Taylor having such a massively dedicated fanbase like she does is not a drag even though some people try to act like it is. It’s incredibly impressive, and I don’t recall ANY pop star in history having such a hold on their fanbase for fifteen years like Taylor has.

THIS!! This album release is an event, everybody is tuning in (more people tuning in for Midnights than any other album release on Spotify ever)

Don't let losers make you think the GP isn't engaged with this because her fanbase is so huge
