Kety
Muslim women in my country wear hijab by CHOICE, no FORCE is enforced upon them. Many become more successful than men in every aspect of their lives and wearing a hijab does NOT hinder than from achieve greater things in life. Women wearing hijab are definitely NOT a 2nd class citizen (as some ignorant atrl users trying to push this agenda on this thread) in many muslim cultures. Before Today
If it's their own choice and they let people live, 100% yes.
fauxtography
Well, what kind of support? Ethically or literally? No, I don't support Hijabs. However I would never apply my personal opinion to someone's choice to wear them.
heckinglovato
Tbh if I was a woman and I came in & saw 9 pages of (mostly) men debating what I should and shouldn't wear, I'd be kinda terrified
worldwide angel
there’s a stark difference between a muslim woman complaining about a hijab and a westerner complaining about a hijab. one actually has the experience to speak on such an issue while the other uses it as an excuse to be disgustingly xenophobic and racist (bc if islam was a religion full of white folks this would not be happening) it’s the same reason why islamophobic gays aren’t the serve they think they are. most of them are just hiding behind / co-opting the actual pain and struggling gay muslims go through just be to be xenophobic / racist. that’s not to say islam is beyond reproach bc hunni…. there’s way too many issues but it’s something worth considering with that being said, if it’s the woman’s choice (and one not informed by misogyny) then yes

Instead of labelling people as xenophobic and racist for disagreeing with us over the internet, we should instead be encouraging discussion and inviting people to the religion. Ad hominem is the tool of those with weak arguments OT: I absolutely support hijabs Edited October 9, 2022 by Literature

Ad hominem is the tool of those with weak arguments OT: I absolutely support hijabs As another muslim, I don’t have to rely on ad hominem attacks if I’m pulling from my own experience. I’m using terms like xenophobic and racist because that’s how a lot of the islamophobic girls are, xenophobic and racist. You’re saying I’m labeling them when it’s more so me calling them out. Especially when they’re very comfortable shouting it out You read all of that and came to the conclusion that I’m trying to paint an entire group of people as victims when 1. I said islam is not beyond reproach 2. There’s nothing wrong with being a victim of discrimination and calling it out. This isn’t a clear black and white issue and I think l’m treating it as such by addressing the various nuances in this discussion.
