When will people realize every single album Taylor released is a “vault album” in the sense that drafts/certain lyrics/titles/hooks for many of the songs started years before they were recorded or released. If you ever tried writing songs, you’d know it often works like that.

Exactly.

Too many are used to writing camps to create albums.  Singer/Songwriters are not like that and use older written songs all the time that fit the theme of their current life. See: Stevie Nicks. All of her albums have songs written years before but they work in the context of the album that was created.  Trouble in Shangri-La that came out in 2001 had 3 songs written in the 1970s...and it worked for the theme of the album.

She would be dragged to the pits if she released a vault album. :deadbanana: The stans pick up on everything like private detectives and would know about this. She might be a corporate capitalist but she don’t play when it comes to expertly distinguishing her album eras. She quite literally prides herself on this stance.

Also this is the person who continued recording half of a sad folk album (her second that year) once she was able to simultaneously start re-recording her teen country songs like You Belong With Me :swan: She's also a studio rat and I'm sure re-recording everything from Red (including assembling ATW10 which was a mix of old and new lines imo) made her instantly creatively inspired and wanting to revisit moments from her past, hopefully ones we don't know much about.

Karma will not be a 2016’d song (and I’m pretty sure she just wrote it this past year)

Selena Gomez and Joel Little are not producers for the album

Youre on Your Own, Kid is NOT her worst title

and the music will still be 70’s inspired sounds.

Labyrinth lyrics:

'You serenade me at the ball,
Watching as we hide from it all,
Behind a disguise,
Who's the man who's at the masquerade?
I wish I hadn't stayed,
Just to drown in his lies,

Like the headline of a magazine,

are you what you seem?
Because I'm losing my belief,
Can I make it when there's so much doubt?
Someone help me out,

'cause I'm in far too deep,

Follow my dreams into distant lands,
Blowing in the winds over shifting sands,

I'm surrounded by hyacinths,
And I'm lost in this labyrinth'

The lyrics don't pertain to Taylor's personal life, they're inspired by the 1986 film Labyrinth (starring David Bowie), and are from the perspective of the main character, whose name is Sarah.

I don't mean to gang up on the good sis @Tusk btw :heart2: I think it's possible there could be lines or concepts from her past that she didn't get to explore fully, especially since we know she excessively archives her old notebooks and iPhone notes. Some New Year's Day and August lyrics she'd had for years, and the Fearless Vault tracks were notably quite different than their originals (Bye Bye Baby was altered a lot, it was originally called One Thing).

Blank Space was also made up of phrases she’d been wanting to use in songs!

Yeah she broke the Monday-Wednesday-Friday schedule. I think she's going to do one every night now

She should force people to buy the album in order to buy a ticket for her tour, no album = no ticket :cm:

When Karma actually is LWYMMD pt. II (not conceptually but musically) and we get a video for it that's as iconic

@Taylor fanboy's brujeria and voodoo paid off I fear

I mean, I don't want to read too much into it, but I do think it's strange that she seemingly randomly switched the schedule up right as a tracklist is floating around. I don't want to clown tonight but I just might have to. Bring on a single
