Thank God Ariana stepped in to save that era, otherwise the results would've been the same as her past two eras before ASIB :ahh:

Not people saying about SL promo outside of Spotify :rip: The main thing for Spotify streams is TTH and Stupid Love never had a #1 placement unlike BMS.

OT: tragic streams for #1 TTH song and all of this hype

SL had a #2 placement and NMF, the latter of which BMH didn't have. Not to mention the Times Square banners, Apple deal and music video. :deadbanana4:

I guess because Bey did slightly better than Gaga :toofunny3:

But these aren't Adele's "Easy on Me" numbers. Adele had previously taken a 5 year break, so why isn't Bey pulling similar numbers?

Personally I think both Gaga and Bey did well, but it's nothing spectacular. And it comes off a little bit hypocrite for some member who dragged Gaga for "Stupid Love" only to claim now that doing 20% more is amazing.

Nobody really dragged Stupid Love for its debut though. But it dropped off the chart like Gaga's career post ARTPOP and it has what, 300M streams on Spotify now? :deadbanana2:

Stan’s and music fans do care about month old leaks. A huge driver of day one streams, especially for artists like Beyoncé and Gaga who have big core bases, is fan engagement. Monsters had heard Stupid Love for a month, and a half of them didn’t use the song by the time it dropped officially. If the gp cared at all about beyonce dropping a new song her numbers would resemble Adele’s or Harry’s, people who the GP check on in 2022.

let’s not be dense.

You’re making excuses because Gaga didn’t do better. Gaga fans didn’t like the song, that’s not Bey’s problem. No one would be coming for Gaga’s number if yous didn’t start it. Monsters are the only fanbase that are mad about this. What does that say?

She isn't even on the cover! Doja is. And there was no push notification that her song dropped like Drake.

She didn't get any more preferential treatment than others here. Especially when you consider how badly she alienated herself from the platform. Gaga never had the balls to leave her most recent album off the worlds biggest streaming platform for YEARS. Come on. This is a win for Bey.

Ya need to officially stop with the TTH placement payola bs. It's been proven time and time that barely affects a song overall streams ( ex. The article that said Duas DSN only got 13% of its Spotify streams from its TTH placement). Sit down.

It’s been proven time and time that TTH means a lot. For example, after HMH was added in TTH, it started to gain streams and this happen to all the songs in TTH especially for #1 placement.
Article that shows percentage of streams means nothing, TTH is a way for the song exposure, or do you think if someone like DNS he will open TTH every time to listen it? No, people save songs in their library, and TTH is the way to find new music. It doesn’t mean that all of the streams should be from playlist.

4.2 Million is the same?

Go back to your cave

It is the same, if you consider, that Spotify grew a lot in those 2,25 years.

Date / Streams for #200 song (factor) / Average streams for Top 200 (factor)

  • 28 Feb 2020 / 724,545 (1.00x) / 1,441,591 (1.00x)
  • 17 Jun 2022 / 865,869 (1.20x) / 1,805,728 (1.25x)

So if Stupid Love would debute today, it would gain more + Spotify only counted 10 streams per user per day back then and now 20.

Yeah Rain On Me would have similar numbers to Stupid Love if Ariana didn’t jump on it. They are in denial

Great photoshop. Cover is true, but SL peak in TTH was the second place and not on the first day.
I guess you are very obsessed with Gaga if you try to find fake picture or maybe even do it.

Music fans are not gonna run for a leaked song they didn't know about outside of Stan Twitter. Stop being delusional.

I'm gonna repeat this again....this song came out in the middle of the damn week with a 24 hour advance. Adele had promo prior to the Friday release. Harry had promo prior to the Friday release. Would this have made their numbers if it was a Friday with a MV? No. But it def wouldve done way more than this. Stop downplaying and comparing.

Stupid Love - Spotify 280 million Active Users

BMS - Spotify 420 million Active Users

If Gaga released SL today according to the percentage increase from Active Users

She would debut with an estimated of 6.75 million today
