What do you think EDM is? House is supposed to be a subgenre of EDM. Why do Americans use EDM to mean 'anything with a dance beat'?

 

I'm not even a Gaga stan and here I am defending the fact that most of the songs on Chromatica are house

It had House elements on it, especially the remixed version of a few songs. It was mostly a blend of EDM and Pop tho

Chromatica felt like an extension of the noise in Artpop. Neither are house albums. Not saying this as a drag, they just aren’t house genre.
